I've had a email to say the copy I requested has been allocated, although not been given a price 100% so if it's more than I planned I'll say no. I did plan to sell the orks on eBay after anyway.

I've got an order confirmation from Hobby Workshop (20% discount). I hope they honour it.

I tried Wayland games, but kept getting bounced when trying to finish the purchase.

Yeah I got mine from hobby workshop, they like allot of shops sell for 20% below the RRP, I've used hobby workshop for years never had a issue. I personally avoid Wayland games, but that's a personal reason.

From what I've heard this is like the last box set launch (leviathan) where there was plenty of them and we saw stock on the shelfs for months after.

@Kehoe @Almightyrastus @lilgoth89 I think you chaps mentioned you had been to Warhammer World? Quick (and odd) question: are dogs allowed in? My brother's thinking of visiting me for a weekend and it would be a little sad to leave his Jack Russell in the car, Or at my house, where he might destroy something :hehe:.

I'm expecting the answer to be no, by the way!

Warhammer world is my local official store it's easy to get to, Sooo it's tricky guide dogs and support animals are allowed. And I've seen dogs at whw. They do say

Assistance dogs of all kinds are welcome

On the website, but I've seen people with dogs in the store section but I can imagine it's a No to the museum and Bugmans Bar section.

Honestly The phone number for Warhammer World in Nottingham is 0115 900 4151. Id give them a call..

I was there last year, and honestly I don’t recall seeing any dogs. My assumption would be that it’s a no unless it’s an assistance dog, but this is probably the easiest thing:

this was me, i spent over 40 mins on Wayland trying to get one, only to keep running into 503 errors and getting logged out, then they disabled the cart, someone suggested i try Hobby workshop which had some in stock so i ordered one there

i also looked on Ebay, and naturally saw ''22 sold'' on halves of the box so its nice to see the scalpers all managed to get copies

is anyone looking for the Marine half of this box ? or the marine half of Leviathan and would be happy with a straight face to face swap for the Ork set ? figured id ask here
i frequent Warhammer world so happy to do it there, or maybe somewhere like Birmingham new street

Hobby workshop is definitely the better site imo. They moved to Sheffield, went a few times. They have one of the biggest selections out there. I once had a cast issue with a kit and they just sent a replacement out, really good. Staff always been polite and helpful.

@lilgoth89 in hindsight starting to think we should of thought about this last week as I only wanted the SM side I plan to sell the Orks 1/2 but I don't have much use for the livithan 1/2 I have to many terminators and the flamers don't fit in my DA army.

I've just finished priming my custodes thinking I have to many !!

As per usual there is no way that I was going to be picking up a copy of 11th ( I think the last version of the game rules that I have is 7th although I do have the rather beautiful collector's version of 6th), I have no need, want, use (etc etc) for the game bits and whilst I am always going to be a fan of Marines and stuff, it's the ork bits that I am after at some point, but even then I don't really want everything so I will probably give in to the scalpers as I end seemingly doing every single time as GW won't just release the individual bit that I want, at least not at the same time, and I shall just pick out a couple of items that I am after just for painting and adding to the collection on my shelves.

I do really like some of the ork characters so they will be on the list, but the marines just seem to be slightly embellished versions of things that we already have.

On other notes, I saw that WHW is having a John Blanche tribute exhibition in their ground floor foyer until the 5th of July, so I may have to take a wander over and have a remember.

Oh I didn't know that I might have a wander over tomorrow! Weather depending. I do want some sister's of silence so might use that as an excuse...

Ive got brought a new addition since 9th(was that necron Vs space marines ??) I went 1/2s on someone but then the guy stiffed me. I don't know why I got it I've never played a game. I'm to scared to learn especially since whw is my local store it's very intimidating

well if you do want a game, i do frequent Nottingham and can fairly easy tailor any of my armies from casual to fairly competitive and i can play anywhere up to about 10,000 points of Tau, Tyranids, Chaos knights, and a fairly respectable number of orks and traitor guard
im not the best at knowing all the rules, especially as i have bits of every edition back as far as 4th in my head, but we can get by and throw buckets of dice at each other

If they do bring back the Emporer, whats the betting that 40k morphs into "age of sigmar in space"? leaving the Old World and 30k/HH as the "normal" games...

See this is one of my biggest issues I own stuff 0 clue if it make a good Army... i have my HH box set to build, Ive got i think about 1500 *0 clue* of Black templar painted, Loads of DA on the go then my Tau 0 clue, My Titans, Then my Random bits n bobs..

Its one of those because i really struggle with social stuff, IRL i have 0 friends soo i dont play i avoid Discord and sites like Facebook due to personal stuff so i find it so hard to actually get into the Hooby other than Lore and Painting.. It be nice to learn I've done 2 Kill team games and then i did do a Templar vs Deathguard but those guys didn die and it just wasnt fun. the guy who was teaching me thought id be "good" for me to experiance the game by making it i did 0 damage....

    Crikey!

Online Geeks Get Sociable! I might actually be up for some of that. Purely for the social aspect, couple of cheeky halves, maybe play as a guest (I have no armies :sigh:) and have a wander around. Marvel at the displays. Would depend when (lot of life stuff happening) but I'm having a Steve McQueen renaissance at the moment - I live for myself and answer to nobody.

im down for that, ive already had a quick bump into Rastus ( whose name i STILL read as almighty suraus ahem )

a good place to start would be to get on something like the Bit-Tech Discord i know you say you dont like Discord but its much faster than this and has better image hosting, so you can post some rough photos of your stuff, so we can help write you a very basic list, which granted is about to turn upside down with the new edition, but w/e
and then if you want to take part in a game, we can work something out and book a table even if its just 1000 points, and if you want something a little bigger, we can always do a multi person game, but win or lose it doesnt matter, we are just grown ass adults playing toy soldiers and throwing buckets of dice at each other
or if you just want to turn up and watch a game thats always cool as well.

You can borrow one of my armies. None of them are painted though.
