so if you guys want to pencil a day down, feel free to let me know and let me know what folks want to do, if they want a game how many points, how many a side etc etc considering 11th is just about to make its appearance i suggest we stick to 10th and if you need help with making an army, Discord is the easiest place to reach me, but you can also pop onto Wahapedia, which pretty much has all the 40 rules, or New recruit on your phone which is a fantastic army building app and then we can work out how many are coming, how many people are looking to play a game, what their level of competency is, and what level they want to play at
Most weekends are good for me, though would prefer a Saturday as Mondays are an extremely early start for me . Generally incompetent but know the 10th edition rules fairly well - it's keeping track of the weirder armies rules I struggle with. I think a 1000pt friendly game, perhaps where we all just have one big multi sided bloodbath would be good!
This sounds like a do-er. Everyone fighting over a crashed satellite/other tech (galaxy-ending one-shot bullets). I have no idea about rules but I do like a bit of strategising and know a little bit about what some of the more traditional weapons should do/be effective against. I wouldn't send a bunch of naked howling penitents at some Terminators, for example. Or I could just be a back seat general to someone. Probably an annoying one with lots of questions.
multi teams games tend to get very messy, where two team games are generally more straightforward as new players can confer with their teams on tactics and options, at least from my experience playing FAR to much Apocalypse when it came out my group decided to try to fix it
Any of you guys do 3d printing.. Want to convert my outriders. My tanks hover why not my bikes https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/game/corvidea-pattern-grav-bike If not I'll grab some off ebay
are you ok with doing some surface work and filling a hole ? im trying to balance pockmarks and ease of printing orientation the easiest orientation with the fewest pockmarks is straight vertical on the nose, but i will need to add a drain hole to let the resin drain out
yeah id be fine with clean up , i've done alot of clean up on 3d prints i can use a thin coat of uv resin ect, how much would you want for 6 plus postage
Regarding a potential Bit Tech Warhammer World meetup, I'm having a week off to chill starting Monday 6th July. If a weekday doesn't suit people (I imagine most have day jobs!), Saturday 11th July would be nice. Otherwise happy to wait for other suggestions.
I have a Major Life Thing happening on the 9th so may well need cheering up/blowing off steam on the 11th. Pencil me in for now as a "definite possible".
A WHW meet-up sounds great. I wouldn’t necessarily be playing - I could probably borrow an army from my brother, but I really don’t know the rules well - but it would be great to catch up and put more faces to usernames . I went there last May with my brother and the exhibition alone was worth the trip for me. I still have a great big whack of photos I haven’t really posted anywhere. Long ol’ slog for me up from Cardiff though, so it’d definitely have to be a weekend
You would also be welcome to borrow an army from me. Have a big united Chaos Daemon/Marine/Knight versus... And getting the rules absolutely correct is optional. I'm just here to laugh when I roll six '1's with five dice.
I could do the 11th and I can bring my Dark angels, custodes and black Templar might even have 1000 points of Tau... Think my warlord would be over kill
i mean if you can wait for the meetup i can just give it you face to face, im not a fan of posting printed parts as Royal mail are not exactly known for being careful, and printed resin can be quite brittle as for moneyz its not even £5 of resin so whatever you think is fair
Just a Thought it might be worth Reserving a table at WHW as soon as you guys confirm the Date they go up fast https://warhammerworld.warhammer-community.com/booking/ They have basic Boards then Showcase boards.. but they go fast
yeah i think we will be fine with a basic board if we are playing a game, it does limit us to ~6x4 ( or whatever the silly dimensions are these days ) i still use 6x4 so who is actually interested in bringing an army, which army and roughly what is everyone's rough level of competency ( trying to think of some rough balance here, and splitting up the newer or less experienced players among more experienced players to make up the teams at the moment its Myself - Tau / Tyranids / Orks / Traitor guard / Knights of either flavour if ya'll could just let me know, and if someone can phone up and book a table for the 11th i can keep this post updated with plans, and then once we know how many people are coming, we can work out points, and whose on whose teams and who is just going to be there to spectate and/or cheerlead ( cheerleading outfit is optional but recommended ) Also how are people arriving ? i'll be arriving by train so i might request a cheeky deeky pickup from the station, there is free 30 min parking at the station
