well you dont really have to learn the whole game, not even half of it tbh as long as you have your army rules ( which is free on apps like Army builder and Wahapedia ) then you can pretty much play a game

it looks very complicated, but most of the rulebook is just edge case rules and most of them can basically be ignored ( such as Terrain rules ) and most of the players can help you with those rules if you dont know them or are struggling with them
obviously we dont want to push you if you are not comfortable, but we're not going to get upset for you not knowing the rules

And if you do want to learn, we are more than happy to help, even if 11th is about to come shake things up its not like everything is changing so all the knowledge is unusable as most of the weapon profiles and such are staying the same

Got the email my 11 edition has shipped, just ordered some bits to make them feel more DA, and alter the mono pose on a few of them as I don't like some of poses l.

Sorry all, life's been busy! No tables available...

To be fair, I actually quite like the idea of just having a nice BT meetup and visiting the exhibition for a couple of hours, then chatting with you guys over lunch! If so, we can stick with the 11th? I'd probably buy something to mark the occasion - Kravek Morne would be a relatively inexpensive trophy.

@ModSquid @Byron C @Almightyrastus (and anyone else I've missed out by accident) - sound good to you? @Kehoe we know you have anxiety issues but your presence would be welcome and we're a very friendly and protective bunch!

I'm keen but will have to let you guys know if Life allows. Sorry it's a bit fluid, but I really don't know what's going to be thrown at me even on a weekly basis. Gaming would be good, see how it's changed over the last three decades (!) but happy to just socialise as well.

If you’ll forgive the foray into addiction to plastic miniatures from Other Brands

Modiphius have recently announced some new details about their “XCOM Miniatures Game”. More of a “light” TTRPG than tabletop wargame, apparently it’s based on the ruleset from their “Five Parsecs From Home” game.

Pre-orders open in July, and the miniatures shown off so far are giving me a very strong need… (had to take screenshots from the newsletter because it’s all one image, not separate images embedded)

Well the space marine 1/2 of the Armageddon is built, did a few small modifications to make them feel more Dark Angels. Now I have to try and find Dark angel transfers, the Upgrade kit doesn't include any Shoulder pads I need 60 of the dam things. I am reluctant to pay £10 for 10 shoulder pad transfers.
The Dark angel transfer sheet I do own are the Hours Heresy ones and they don't match my existing ones.

    The hunt continues

I like the look of those. I was looking at just having a go at painting some minis, I had a few odd bits from when a friend used to play when younger (13/14). I never got into it like he did, and frustrated at being sh*t
at the painting of the miniatures. So never did it again, but just feel like having some to paint and put on a shelf - Always liked Genestealers - now i'm older, might have a pop.
Just want to find them a little cheaper ;D

... Pictures?? :winking::happy: Would love to see what they are/were, what you want to make them, and what they have become... just curious - I like pics. :hehe:

I've looked at the stamps they would be ok for squad markings but not the actual dark angle shoulder pad logo. I've accepted I'm going to pay through the nose for transfer sheets

Have a dig around somewhere like Etsy, there are usually a good few vendors either doing custom sheets or ready done ones. You might have to use "creative" search terms such as "1st legion" or "gothic angel", but there should be a good supply of just DA , or at least DA-suitable transfers.

Check out Etsy, there are folks on there who can print out custom Transfer sheets

ive got most of my ork half of the box built, although the mek in me has already printed out the part needed to mount the dakkarig turret to the arse end of a trukk, and is looking at the wartrakk and thinking the arse end of that would make a great little grot tank so i might buy a couple more of both

I want some Genestealers to learn to paint, found this on eBay - im not sure what they’re selling for the £12.75… is it 4 miniatures? Or more? Not sure if it’s one spruce they’ve done 4 times or what. Maybe someone here would know?
I have messaged the seller, on Sunday, had no response so far.

Is £12 a good price for that? Or am I better trying to find others brand new?
Saw some battleforce box for about £35 which looked a steal.. but the site turned out not legit. Under multiple names too. Fkrs.

The price of some of these on eBay :hehe:

I understand the cost of them new (sort of). But missing bits, and second hand. Mad prices.

Don't by any stretch go by what I say, but to me it says "a sprue" and looks a bit like he's trying to pull a fast one with multiple shots. I'd say you'd be getting two stealers.

Personally, I wouldn't do it, but that's just me.

I'm with @ModSquid I think it's 2, max 4 as it could be 2 sets of 2, but it also cloud be the same sprue 4 times at different shoots

How far is a local your local GW shop as you can get a free mini there if you want some freebies just got in more than once or grab someone to go with you, I've grabbed 10 dark angle terminators doing this, they do normally say build n paint in store but last few times I lucked out.

As for transfers I've grabbed 6 packs of the leviathan box set decel sets, looks like each one will have 12 pads I can use but then I can cut off the other faction ones and sell them on or use them for other bits, I know these will match what I have and I want to make sure it's all the same.

Also grabbed a few minis of eBay

Would they be GW website exclusive? Don’t know how it all works.
But would love to try painting them.

wonder what it’ll cost that box :worried:

They are going to be the next Kill team box set. So these pluss some Orks. We don't always get more units after a kill team but there is hope that this is just the start for this faction
