Will take them at that price mate. and don't need a jump pack the DC guys i need to make are standard non jumpers
Alreet. I just found another five torso's for DC, so I'll chuck those in too. Sadly, I don't have enough spare legs to offer some of those
Right then, so I started to tidy up the old desk a bit and thought I would stick my BT boys back in my case. I got one half nicely filled up and then looked at what was left, It appears that I need to stop buyin' and start a-paintin'... Strange how it kinda creeps up on you isn't it? (So sorry for the grainy pics, the camera on my Eee-pad Transformer says it is 5 MPixels but I am not convinced) They are not arranged in any squads in particular, that is just a load of everything all in one go. Some are still wearing their old livery which was black and dark blue (speed painted, had my manager on my back to get an army sorted out quickly). Need a dreadnaught or two in there at some point and I am thinking of maybe trying to convert a Dreadknight that I have kicking about to stand in for one. Oh, and if anyone spots a barrel or two that isn't drilled out yet, rest assured that they will be will be
yea i have a new box of death company im getting these 5 from liratheal but they wont get built untill my WIP's are done except lamartes as im waiting to paint him till i get a little bit better
I wish I could fit my BT's on my desk.. The thirty+ marines that were earmarked for Blood Angels are being redirected to the Black Templars, taking me to 100+ BT marines. With 100 at least to paint. Joy.
Airbrush Undercoated the majority of my vampire counts, just not the grave guard. Makes painting such a gift
Got some more Eldar scouts today, well Pathfinders. Need to start painting these finecast squads up, starting to build up on me now.
Just finished the shouty ogre.... Quick shot of the mini ogre army on my Shelf , Wife is already moaning about the space im taking up.. So my current list of models left to paint are ... 2 ogres + accessories and add ons for all six.. 2 gnoblars Then i'm probably going to get the lead bealchers set next....
Looking good Phill. It looks like your collection of ogres is building up quite nicely. You'll have to build a bigger shelf for them soon at the rate you seem to be painting them. Finished painting my assault terminators this weekend: I'm getting better at free handing the Omega symbols, these ones required next to no cleaning up I also magnetised the arms and shoulder pads of two of the terminators so that the squad can have a bit more flexible load out (the heavy flamer is for Space hulk) I even had a go at free handing an imperial eagle on the power fist Here's a picture of my squad of terminators that I painted up about 5 years ago. I bought them specifically for playing 1st edition space hulk, this is the reason my terminator squads are on 25mm bases instead of 40mm This is what I'll be painting next: The power fist is my first real attempt at sculpting.
Those termies look awesome mate. how did you do the goo on the floor. power fist looks good too how you do that too may i ask.
Those really are very nice, man, you got pictures of anything else you've done? The army's looking good, Phil - I should tell your wife that nerds on the internet will shake their fists at her if she refuses you storage space for them!
Oh very awesome termies. I shall be stealing your idea for the painting of the lightning claws immediately. I was wondering how to go about the various sections and what to paint silver and gold and the like.
Very nice work there BJ , metallics on those terminators look fantastic , like the blue shadowing on the heads , looks like you basecoated the heads in light blue then repainted over with white leaving the blue showing in the crevices.. is that right ?
Thanks. The raised goo was from a hot glue gun. The goo colour is achieved with a base mix of bilious green and green ink (both no longer made by games workshop). Then sucessive highlights with less green ink in the mix. The eagle on the power fist was done with very watered down skull white and a 00 brush (rosemary & co, pure red sable). I started with the top line on the wings, leaving a gap in the middle where the heads go. Then did a U shape to join them together. The rest of it just sort of falls into place. When it's dry go over it a few more times until the white looks right, then clean up anything out of place with the background colour. Thanks. I've only got pictures of my space marines on my flickr gallery. But I do have a few model purchases planned so I should have a good photo gallery eventually. Again thanks. If I'm honest the colour scheme was copied from the picture of the ultramarines on the box. I just decided to do the knuckes gold to break up the amount of purple. Thanks for that. Got it in one. Base coat of space wolf grey mixed with a bit of blue ink. Paint over with space wolf grey leaving the base coat showing in the recesses. Then a final going over with skull white leaving a small amount of the space wolf grey showing.
I used to play Necron/Tyranids but for me it become more of an obsession than just a standard hobby, Looking back on when I used to play (around 12/13). I spent quite a bit, but not just on the figures but on paint, spray, glue etc that were £3 quid each if I can remember correctly
These sodding flayed ones are starting to annoy me now. Nothing will stick the claws on. I've tried two lots of superglue now, and they just won't stick.
Try loctite 382, http://www.bearingshopuk.co.uk/loctite-382-adhesive-20g-19960-p.asp In my experience you could stick a rocket together with that stuff.
