Well? Moi: Silent Hill 4. Because dragging round that dead weight bitch and replaying the same levels back to front just tried my patience too much. Silent Hill 3. See above description for female main character. I stopped about 30 mins before then end. Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicals on the GC - multi-player. I dumped 40hrs into this with three mates but our save game corrupted and we never bothered finishing it. The good news is that I'm rebuying four GBA-SPs+connector cables, I rebought the game (£3), dusted off my GC and I intend to try again. I'll add more later, but I cant think of any now.
Me and a friend used to play CC all the time as well and fell victim to file corruption (I think it was an issue with the game, we had multiple backup saves due to how common file corruption was). For me: Rogue Galaxy - I am halfway through this game and I am on and off with it FF12 - Put 20hrs in and just stopped and I don't quite remember why Oblivion - Too much to do. Too many other games I want to play to bother lol Disgaea 1,2 (and now 3). Max level is 9999...you tell me that's not intimidating to any gamer
For me it's probably Far Cry 1, those Trigens just killed it for me, once they appeared and mauled me at every opportunity, I got bored.
I can think of plenty of games I've completed and wish I hadn't but none that I've not completed that I wish I had.
resident evil 4. got to the island with the crazy regenerative tentacle zombies, got freaked out (well, it was 4am and i had been playing it for a biiiiiiiiit too long), turned it off. kinda.... forgot to go back to it. sold it on ebay. now i don't have a GC, or a wii. or a ps2. i think there's a PC version, but screw playing all the way up to that point again! it's a long-assed game! i'll make do with playing re5. oh and FF8. stopped on the space ship with the colour changing bosses. couldn't be bothered, stopped, left it a bit too long to be bothered to go back.
Far Cry 2: Computer broke etc, really looking forward to completeing it fully. Also I never quite met 100% completion on Burnout 3.
FF8 - I love it but I don't think I want to know the end GT4 - b-spec spoils it , what's the point driving myself when the comp will do it for me, bleh
I spent hours trying to complete "Armagedon" by Psygnosis on the Amiga. I resorted to the opinion that it was in fact impossible.
FF7. (I know, I just got soooo bored at the world map) I honestly have a list as long as my arm though.
STALKER Shadow of Chernobyl. Computer problems once I had got so far through I didn't want to re-play it all again. Which is a shame as I was really enjoying it up until then. Has the newest one been made less buggy yet?
+1 for stalker, although i got too creeped out and never had the guts to play it again. SupCom never did finish all the skirmishes
with great shame i have to say half life 1, i had to reformat my pc and could not be botherd to start all over again
good thread! Assassins Creed: awesome to look at, awesome to run around, but COD4 came out!! Still have it and fancy finishing the story. Splinter Cell: Double Agent: I got a girlfriend (yes real, yes human). Uplink: Brought off steam with Darwinia and Defcon, really wanted to give it a crack but lasted 1 - 2 hrs, nuking Moscow and ordering Darwinians around was loads more fun. Zool & Zool 2: FACT: No one, i repeat, NO ONE has ever ever finished either.
I got half way through the training level and couldn't be bothered I've never 100% completed any GTA game.
Zelda : Twilight Princess, Thief 3, and most annoyingly Mayhem in Monsterland I hardly ever finish games, I just don't have many regrets I'm going to pick up Mayhem on the Virtual Console though so I can relive the good times
