Hi People, Recently been having a major tidy up and came across Id totally forgot i had it, now it was for the original xbox, which no longer have, some reason i kept this, looking online their is a means and way to get it working on the USB, but i cannot for the life of me find the cable i would need online, any suggestions, Also i need to try and replace on the left column 1 of the toggle switches' and the thumb stick, Thumb stick is easy found an old PS2 controller cut it off that and stuck it on with glue and a bit of pain but the toggle switch the bit of plastic that pokes through is missing and i've not got a clue off top of my head what id need to do to fix/ replace this Any advice or help anyone can give on this, reading online looks like its a pain to get setup but once setup you can have some major fun in games.
I remember that, Steel Battalion controller! Steam Community to the rescue... http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=240489890
This cable should do the job... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Black-USB...t-XBOX-Gamepad-Controller-to-PC-/321405808757
ahh thanks, see my only concern is that cable is 20" and they advise no longer than 3" i'm struggling to find a smaller one, still hoping somewhere i can find the Xbox part of the controller as atm its the round pin, the bit that connects to is missing, still then need to get the toggle switch repaired.

That's to convert a PS2 controller for play on XBOX, PC or GameCube. The cable needs to have a female XBOX USB port with a regular USB port on the other end.
Another option... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Super-Joy...027066?hash=item3abfec23ba:g:fwYAAOSwu1VW3bPP Can't quite make out if the adapter is in the packaging though!
The XBOX uses USB with a special plug, so you can just cut off the XBOX plug and replace it with USB. You'll find the wires follow the usb standard so it's super simple to do if you can solder. USB PINOUT KEY 1. +5v 2. -DATA 3. +DATA 4. -5v (Ground) XBOX PINOUT KEY 1. -5v (Ground) 2. +12v (Unused) 3. +DATA 4. -DATA 5. +5v
not soldered in many years but i do have everything i need to do, just need to dig out the gear, my only concern is if i bugger it up i've then got to find a new Usb bit has the current connection is a round *looks like Ps2* type connection and i've only found 1 old school xbox adapter,
Will be even better if i can get it repaired and working, only predicament i have their is 5 toggle switch's look easy to switch out *fingers crossed* only one is broke do i just replace that *never going to find a replacement as they are plastic and look like they where designed for the unit* or do i replace all 5 so at least they are matching and if i was to replace they would be metal not plastic.
Ah it's got a breakaway cable, that makes things much easier, the 'ps2-style' end of the cable looks the same for XBOX and XBOX 360: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hellfire-...way-Cable-Lead-for-Xbox-Original/291290178248 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PC-Comput...er-for-XBOX-360-Wired-Controller/281958121434 Might be worth a punt for £1.79? Or buy both and then modify them and not your original cable?
