That's looking pretty remarkable, it's going to be a very full box by the end!! Nice work.

The LEDs should put a nice glow out from under the raise case, but there's no direct path to your eyes, so it shouldn't be too obnoxious. I hope :p

Looking good, rated and subbed. Could you tell us what the case is like structurally when you've finished ripping all these holes in it? I'd like a hot mITX build - in fact, the parts for one are lingering forlornly at home - but I need a bit of survivability with mine...

The frame buy itself right now is VERY flimsy. But when I screw in the two pieces of plexi the rigidity almost returns to the original amount. If I were to do it a couple more times, I'm sure I could get it to the point where it was as strong, or stronger. But it'd be tough to do on the first go. I think once I put the outer shell back on, it will be perfectly acceptable ;)

Thank you for sharing your project with us it is very interesting the way you chose to use each part of what is a very small space. I am impressed.

LOVE IT ! rep and subb, Do you think if you could get an ok Headsink in there this style of build could cope with only Air cooling?, Whilst i have nothing against water i just don;t know enough about it.

Fracking amazing dude, put that next to my HAF and it would make it look even bigger than it already is!

    Very true :naughty:

I thought long and hard about going bigger on this build. But I knew the SG05/06 had more potential...so I figured I'd give it one last shot. If I do a part 4 in my "gaming in tight spaces" series, then the next one will be mATX :thumb:

Stay posted peoples, I've got a big update coming soon

So, I've got the front panel cut. It was a major hurdle to cross, but its done, and I'm fairly happy with the result. I used a drill press with a 3/16" bit to drill about 40 holes around the edge, then hand filed the frame of the hole.

You may also notice I've fitted the optical drive for these pictures (just so you can see that it does indeed fit ;))

The resulting hole for the res looks pretty good for now, but I'm still planning some final trim to clean things up a bit. I should have another update in the next couple days.

after all this beautifulness I have only one question. why not to build same case from scratch??? AFAIR there is no single piece of case that haven't been cut/adjusted.

Trust me, I've thought about it....and I wish I could. But my skills/tools/equipment limit my reality :(
