    Guys

Can anyone give me some advice please ?

I am looking to purchase some servers and host them in London. Obviously this will be for gamers. A similar system along the lines of what Jolt currently do. (on a smaller scale though)

First i need to know is WHERE do i go to purchase these servers and which ones are best ??

Secondly.... is it better to buy or rent the server from a company ?

Sorry to sound so vague...its because there is nowhere I have found which seems straight forward. I think the rent of these servers in places like london are expensive....but as I am from the UK, it makes sense to have them hosted in London, dont you think ?

Does anyone here have any experience that I can ask from ?

    Thanks in advance

ps..... I would also require the server to be able for me to sell webspace as well.....or should a separate server be needed.

If i were you mate i wouldnt bother at all. Without sounding harsh (and making a few assumptions) it sound slike you have no clue what you are doing.

All i can can suggest is going to Jolt/UK2/INXgaming/whoevers website and seing if they give server stats.

Games like CS can have multiple games running on one server.

I have to agree with Fatboy, you really sound like you don't know what you're doing and running a hosting/gaming server business is something where you will need to know what you're doing. Flieslikeabrick may be able to give you some tips, but I suspect he'll instead tell you to forget the idea for at least a few years.
