Very impressed with Red Hat 7.3 so far.... but how do you get my favourite game, Tactial Ops, to run under Linux ??

Will WineX do the job, if not, what will, or is there no hope ?

    Thanks in advance,

    Darkside.

WineX is what you are looking for yes, good luck getting it running. If you search these forums a bit, you'll find lots of threads on WineX, none of them with a happy ending. :blah:

Tactical Ops ? I remember hat used to be a mode for UT, has it gone retail then ? If' it's jsu the mod, then just google up UT linux installer, as there is a UT isntaller to make UT run antively under Linux with OpenGL. Then jsut install your mod and run. :D

If it's a separate game, well, hit Transgaming and downlaod the source code.

If you'd like more help, feel free to contact me via one of the below, maybe I can help. Otherwise pretty much every problem has been addressed here already. :p

Thanks for the info. Tac-Ops has gone retail, but there are still the versions that allow you to mod UT to become Tac-Ops.
Think I'll get the UT installer for Linux and give that a go, can't really do any harm...... would be a result if I could even get UT running as a total linux newbie (only installed yesterday).

I'll keep trying with this though, as I'm determined to be able to live with linux day by day, and make it my only OS as soon as I can get along with it well enough to ditch windoze.

    Thanks again

    Darkside.
