I just got my first garage and a carpet makes all the difference, it's just nicer when I'm fettling the bikes. I don't have any other insulation. Need some better lights though - any thoughts on LED batterns - got a fluorescent tube but want more light and LED seems the way to go - any experience/advice on brightness??
I just emptied mine, swept it and laid down a single coat of screwfix no nonsense and it's been absolutely perfect since. No dust, no paint flaking off and the finish is excellent.
This. As for lights, they do make proper LED light fixtures that replace the old long florescent ones. Up high the bring a really nice light spread around a shop at a low price point.
