"It looks like any other office, with personal items such as mugs"

What! I was expecting to have a straw coming out of the desk to allow you to choose whatever beverage you wanted at a temperature you wanted.

They're obviously enjoy perusing our demote thread :D

Bet the "super secret" bit they were allowed to film was where payroll gets processed and stationery gets ordered :D

IIRC, it looks like they went in and filmed in the first office section they came to. I'm surprised they didn't film any of the mini crypto museum just inside the entrance and up the stairs (an Enigma, some of it's predecessors, the UK's TypeX semi-knockoff, the cute little Hagelin C-38, some chunky 90s electronic mobile-phone scramblers, etc). Unless this is clipped from some larger report with more footage.
They didn't even show the garden in the centre of the 'donut' (which has been on TV before, so the 'never seen on TV before' credentials are a bit shaky).

colebrook saunders monitor arms, decent chairs, reasonable monitors, adherence to correct monitor placement straight ahead and off set to the left and right to stop neck injury long term for the agents, also looks like they have been wise enough to stay PBX based away from any LYNC migration that said Lync would be helpful for team or department collaborations maybe they are using some thing else, place like that would have extremely high internal network and communication monitoring more than what is going on external. Every keystroke on every computer in that facility is logged and archived for plus 10 years you can expect.

Place like that is good to work in because its not about the money but national pride and every one can dip into the bottomless well of good intention, bet there are some passionate dudes in that place.

Please do tell us how they could do better. After all, your experience with countering terrorist activities around the world would make you a valuable consultant to them.

Ehhh. Been there. It's impressive, and they have actually been very useful to one of our clients.

I still wouldn't trust them to monitor all our communications.

Unfortunately that doesn't work on a few levels: firstly if you're collecting secret intelligence, you're not going to go and tell the people you're watching about it - they will just change their methods and you lose them; secondly the security agencies don't have unlimited resources, they can't watch everyone that is a potential threat, they have to take a risk management approach and concentrate on those that pose the greatest risk at that time; and finally, up until they commit an attack, the majority of these people haven't actually done anything illegal, so there is no basis to bring them in.
