So... DX12 only. Win 10 store. Doesn't. F###ing. Work. As much as I enjoyed Gears PC all those years ago, I'm not interested even if it was the only game inside of a GIANT F###ING WORM! It seems Microsoft's PC releases for the foreseeable future are going to be a continuous stream of Halo 2s.
My thoughts exactly, as well as rumours that SLI doesn't work with the Windows 10 store. A shame. I would buy this in a heartbeat if it wasn't for those factors. Would even be enough to finally make me move to Win 10. Add this to the list of games I won't play because of the Windows Store (currently only Quantum Break).
OMG! I can't believe the first DirectX 12 game is an epic fail. I saw somewhere G-Sync users also facing frame rate issues..
If it wasn't Win10 only, I'd be all over this like a rash. Still, not updating to 10 just for the sake of one game.
its using the original UE3 engine from 2006 with DX12 forced in - not even the updated DX11 engine from 2011 ; the original game engine! no wonder it fails very very hard and a lot of things are broken
Does this run out of Windowed mode? useless to me if it does. Has to be full screen and Crossfire support is a must.
I'm playing this atm and yes it does have some issue with frame rate it feels really laggy and don't get me started on the windows store WTF is that all about.
It's Microsofts cross platform idea come to bear is what it's about. Forza 6 is coming in some free to play version for PC that could be interesting.
Until they fix the performance, allow SLI, allow the Vsync to be turned off I won't be touching it there are just to many issues with it that should not be there.
Microsoft have pretty much took away every exclusive game Xbox had and made them dx12 only PC titles we should be celebrating this. It's a huge boost to PC gaming. SLI CFX is a fixable thing. Vsync you can force off using Nvidia or AMD control panel works for all games. New tomb raider was fun to play a few bugs but they were fixed pretty fast.
Bzzzt! No sale! FFS! Why would I want yet another store/front-end on my PC! I'm very happy with Steam. I suffer UPlay for the sake of a couple of games. Origin is on my PC but very rarely fired up. No other front ends/stores are going to be permitted onto my PC.
It's a shame really that they have managed to mess it up because it really is a wicked game but i am hold out for a patch and driver update because i was playing last night and it wasn't to bad servers seam loads better as well
lovely they screwed my belovid gears up.....twice on pc. Im so not happy about this, i like there bringing some xbox games to pc but fs stop gimping them. Tomb raider locked down. Quantum break gonna be the same. And you wreck the gears port. How long has this been in production and it runs like crap one everything. Its such a shame. For the price in the ms store. Will not be buying but im assuming its basically batman port over again
Yes after the patch and drivers it runs really well just a few more problems to sort out in the next patch there working on and it will be spot on
