Surely geek is anti-norm, so you want to take OUT the windows because sunlight = evil for geekdom.

use a couple of 42U racks as shelves. :D have a soldering station and a universal remote that controls more than just the stereo and tv.

A Geek room needs to have some class, people; make the walls something that enhances the presence of the geek items :D

You could also use that ms fingerprint reader (or perhaps another fingerprint reader that works in linux?) at the door. and use another one to turn on/off the lights, open the window, etc.

dont know really. but i think there are programs on the net for stuff like this. think you need a pc which is on the whole time for controll and then the interface to all the equipment you want to use. ask on the forums if somebody has knowledge about that. wish you luck. keep us updated how it works.

How about havin LCD screens coverin the windows, so that you can have any weather you want! Have a custom desk built around the computer that is motorised and swings open when you press a button to get in/out.

Of course some awesome audio, something like a few 22" subwoofers in the ceeling, lighted by uv blue neons :worried: Then a computer.... something, BIG, black, shiny, with unbelievable amount of swithces and lights, connected to
plasma screens setup (4-5 displays will be enough).

And a maquete of Voyager main deck in the bedroom :p
