I surely wouldn't have my lovely CPU cooled by a nasty mixture of sh** and pee... :grr:

But you should make something like 4 screens joined together as one. A big-ass stereo also, and the mandatory beer/cola cooler.
And lots of neon and fans of course:p

Just live inside your PC. Most full-tower cases are big enough for that these days.

if you want a really geeky room then you'll have no pc cases at all, just random pc components lying around, waiting to be put into that pc ur thinking of building

also, rather than just putting regular blue or red cothodes under the bed, use something a little more violet and add a few bushes, for that home grown effect :worried:

Thats what I'm having in my room, because I couldnt figure out a way to get my 5.1 to totally surround me.

Having a degree in Robotics helps.

if there is a fan on the roof add neons to it so it lights up, have multiple keyboards for the one system, many monitors, and make a program with a crapload of code (or a matrix screensaver) and have that displaying on 4 of the 5 monitors.
have motorised legs on ur bed and a lil area underneath you can watch movies and stuff in. (meet the fockers).
and remember if u wanna be a geek like feel dont let ne1 no u have a girlfreind
this will ruin ur rep as a geek.

    This made me laugh :).

I think, like someone else already said, you you get some 42u rackmounts. I Like the shelves idea, but maybe instead of typical shelves, you should have computer shelves. So you could walk over to the *pretend* 4U case, amaze your friends by pulling on the front and having it slide out to reveal....*tada* snack stash/bawls stash/beer stash/anything else possible stash. Of course it might be a bit expensive...and difficult to do it, but you would definitely earn your geek badge in boyscouts if you did this

i kinda tried to do the opersite with my room this year (student house), but the sheer amount of geek stuff, the 22" CRT dominating the room, the hudge PC case and all the electronics stuff i'm "working on" makes the clear statement, then my choice of posters dosen't lend much to been normal (but does show an impecable taste)
    Metropolis
    Forbidden Planet
    Untitled 1968 - Rothko

so in short, the inner geek will provail no matter what ur sourounding.

but how about a big HAL red blob thing, that would be awsome !
