    ...for Deus Ex 2

(I'm assuming no, but if I can delay the purchase of a new graphics card before deciding on an entire new PC system, then all the better)

The only specs I found didn't say anything about needing any kind of graphics card (said "3D card" ), so it will probably work. But I would deffinatley recomend a newer GPU.

probably, 640x480 or 800x600 no AA/AF. Try it n see, if it turns into a slideshow then just play it when you have more beef.

on the box, is says "GFX card must support pixel shaders". I'm not sure Geforce 2 cards do...

I need to buy a DVD drive to play the game anyhow, so I might end up upgrading my entire system, but I'd still like to know "for sure" before splashing out.

Dues Ex 2 is CD isnt it? or i know there's a CD version..

GF2 does have pixel shaders - was the first card to have it. GF3 had vertex shaders too and GF1 had T&L.

I'm sure DX2 wont be as good as the original -- thats why I waited for the price to drop - I got it for $21 on play.com (£12.99). Unfortunatly, I didnt notice it was a DVD-ROM. though it is a good excuse, I've needed a new drive for ages

i have a GF2mx and specs in my sig. I can run UT 2004 at medium quality at a very playable fps (perhaps, 20-30). It cant do AA or ASF but it still works well. If your only bothered about gameplay then it will work. Ther only game i have never been able to run on this baby is kriegger! Im anticipating doomIII will take a while, but itll run :)
