Hi, i got the above GFX card with my Novatech machine and it seems to be running pretty hot. Im wondering if it should have a fan on the GPU cos at the moment it only has a heatsink? All help appreciated. :baby:

Most FX5200s are passively cooled. Unless your experincing any problems with the card I'm sure it would be fine. So long as you've got decent airflow going through your case. Of course if your really worried you could just mount a fan on the hestsink.

Thanks, thats what i was looking for. Airflow in my case isnt too bad, but i might put a fan on, just for safety...

I'm going to add one to my 5200 at some point.. it runs fine on standard, but starts getting hot pretty fast when you O/C with just a heatsink.

Only the fx5200 ultras come with a fan on the heatsink, and yes they get bloody hot bloody quickly when you overclock, got a little fan off a old 486 heatsink that looks like it'll fit a treat on mine just got to get the araldite out to make some screwmounts
