    is it me, or those exposed heatsink will dump all hotair into the next card?

    it'd be worse than those vents on 8800GTX.

    they have polycarbonate windows over the heatsinks :baby:

    I think I'll pick one of these up in about 3 years or so, a la the $80 refurbished 9800 GX2's you can get on ebay nowadays. It's annoying that dual GPU cards are always advertised with their combined VRAM when that's not how SLI works.

    I'll pick one up when it's very cheap. Or just mod the heatsink to fit a 680 when those get cheap.

    If you are dropping a grand on your GPU's im fairly sure you will have enough PCIe slots, or at least the money to get a new board.

    I agree, the only reason I could possibly think of that you would end up needing this for a single-slot PCIe setup would be mini-ITX. Actually, that's a great idea! Let me put together a build with a 3770k and a GTX 690 in an SG05 or summat like that. It would be the king of LAN party rigs.
