    I think you're right - at the moment my priority is to get a computer set-up and working at a reasonable cost, and get all my files off the laptop!

    counter strike source

    i have just done the stress test and got an average of 260fps with 1440x900 and all settings on high. in 'office' the highest i got was 299fps but seemed to sit around 200fps

    Thanks mate - thats brilliant :) Think I'll go AMD then with the 460 1GB.

    Any reccomendations on what motherboard?

    MSI 870A-C54 (or G54 I can't remember at the moment).

    Best balance of peripheral ports and price (around £70).

    i got my new monitor today 22" 1920x1080 i ran css again stress test at 1920x1080 and got 279fps i dont no why it is higher but thought you might want to know:thumb:

    depends on which which motherboard you have decided on as to what type and speed you can have

    Sorry - I chose the MSI 870A-G54 (thanks xaser!). My main confusion is - 1.5v or 1.65v?

    Overclockers still have 3 in stock so hopefully I will get one if I actually get round to ordering....
