Silly question...
When playing BF3 I have noticed that my GPU temp goes up to about 60-63 degs and is pretty much 99% load.

Is that anything to worry about in particular the load. Just worried that putting the card at nearly 100% load for the time I will be playing this game could damage it.

 

Yeah it hogs the GPU like nobody's business. Your temps are fine so don't worry about it.

how do you make the second jump on the train? the first jump with space works but the second jump does not work and he falls?

Well ive jammed on this for a few hours and its pretty awesome.

I am trying to pick holes in it and its hard.

The only major gripe I have is I do not want to run origin along with steam, one client is enough

And my 480GTX is just about good enough to play maxed out, this game is all about gpu, you could get by with a bulldozer lol

 

Amusingly my cousin got hold of a hacked version just to see if he could play the campaign and then maybe buy it. He's running a Q6600 at 3.5ghz and a 560ti and hospital game crashes out with his gpu getting way too hot lol

Well, IR flares seeming do sweet feck all. Wait until they've a lock on me, deploy = get hit. Deploy during lock-on process = get hit.

So what counter measures do we actually get?

So, I tried single player as well.. Get on the LMG on the wall, second I deploy the bi-pod I'm dead. Every time.

 

Ignore what the game suggests or what they've shown in the demos. The wall gets RPG'd pretty much instantly. The way I did it was just grabbing the LMG and then running back down and taking cover, just slowly pick them off from behind cover.

 

You need to wait until the missile's been fired at you before deploying the flares.

 

My only major gripe is using the battlelog website to search for servers and launch the single player campaign. However on the place side of things the M320 grenade launcher is a beast esp on the Grand Bazaar level. Took out an entire platoon going for the flag down the alley the other night and rack up about 750ish points.

 

I just read that mw3 would have dedis , but they will be unranked. only p2p mp will be ranked . Since that put me off I think I'll pick this up within a few weeks (after mw3 comes out). By then some fixes will be rolled out, tards would have thinned out and i can snag the game cheaper. Back to eve for now...

Does anyone use voice in BF3? If so are the TeamSpeaking or using something else? I find it hard to type as well as play and I also miss the messages most of the time!

 

I use TS3 when playing with my clan, however when playing co-op with a friend, the battlefacebook party VOIP is pretty solid.

Went to bed frustrated last night because of the issues I was having.

Rolled out of bed this morning, thought "screw this, lets find a way to ramp up some more volts - I want to get the best performance I can."

So made a custom bios for the card, flashed it, Oc'd to INSANE and previously unknown clocks; surged voltage as appropriate.

I've now played happily for hours without any problems whatsoever at a v-synced 60fps at 2560 * 1440. Thanks to all who helped!

On another note, can any other 580 owners say they're running 1100/2200/4000 on a reference card on air? I think I ought to get some bench suicide runs in before the cad goes up in smoke!
