Yesterday, I mostly went for air targets with heat seekers and sometimes the cannon mostly ignoring the tanks. Kills like that just seem easier. BTW is there a difference between the jets in rush (A10) and conquest (F18) because I've heard the rush jets are much better at taking out ground targets

 

The A10 is less nimble imho, but perhaps it has more firepower? Not sure.

 

The main gun on the Rush jets can take out a tank in one strafe, basically you don't need rocket pods with those.

 

Is the below radar unlock buggered on jets? Lock ons happen even if I'm at the lowest point on the map scraping my bum on the rocks.

 

I've turned UPnP off and it's worked fine so far. Give it a try.

I remembered that turning it off solved a lot of my BFBC2 problems back in the day and it seems to be all good.

Never had any problems with it turned on until the last few days or so though...

 

But are the locks from ground or air?

If a chopper or jet locks u then that would explain it.

 

Below radar works only against jets and helicopters. Stingers and mobile AA's can still lock on to you.

 

Yup, UPnP off, looking for new networks off, wired directly into the router.

It may be just some of the servers though, it doesn't happen on all of them. I don't think anyway, and often it's not just me that disappears.

Ah ha, possibly. Although according to the wiki it's the surface to air missiles that aren't affected, I guess JAVs and AA wouldn't be affected thinking about it.

The a10 and frogfoot are both anti vehicle planes. Not really meant for dog fights. Main guns on them are meant for cutting tanks a new hole.

Though the A10 is bugged ATM and any points you get with it aren't record. Major over sight by dice/ea.

 

Yeah the A10 score bug is a bit iffy. You should try and go for the Frogfoot anyways, it's better.

Even though the A10 and Frogfoot are meant for air-to-ground the first thing each pilot does of course is dogfight

 

One thing I was unsure about when I was mucking about with the Frogfoot and A-10 was whether they have afterburner? They feel a lot slower than the normal jets to me, but I love the buffed damage on the minigun (unless I'm in that tank being exploded).

Also:

 

A-10 shouldn't have an afterburner since it's an turbofan engine and they don't have the capabilities.
Stand corrected turbofans can have an afterburner feature but the A-10 does not have it.

 

Had a blast on the match today next week should be better

I'm not sure why but I unlocked the EOD ages ago and have never, that's never, used it.

May have to give it a go.

 

Has anyone managed to sort the stupid Nvidia texture artifacting ?

Brothers has an 8800GT and while it plays fine on medium ish settings between 10-30mins it starts to degrade (memory leak ?) until its totally unplayable.

we have tied lots of different drivers including old and beta ones. I've messed around with graphic settings doesn't make a difference at all.

running out of ideas can anyone help ?

 

Just completed Professional Russian Assignment joined a loosing team. And pulled it back for the win. INcluding getting that last two kills needed xD

34 kills 16 deaths. And saved by a claymore at my feet when a guy charged at me xD
