What happened to the 40 something that wanted game last time, or are they not looking? But anyway, I was hoping just for a regular weekly/fortnightly BF3 night Tuesday/Sunday eve'.

Dom, was ET on the server?

Not impressive, but I was pleased seeing as how it 2 vs 4 vs 3 for most of the match.



At least I know which end is the dangerous end.

 

Got a triple kill with a single M98b round through a tiny, inch wide crack between a trash can and a wall on metro in the tunnels. I like this gun.

 

It is awesome, I must agree. Even if I do keep catching myself out with the tiny 5 round mag and dying due to dead man's click

 

Reload syndrome means this never happens to me

 

This is what I have to play with every time I connect to every server. Utter joke.

It's every server, regardless of the time of day. My pings are pretty low as well, so I have no idea what to do about it.

 

Did you try wifi/ethernet/homeplug comparison?

 

I can't afford a WiFi card atm, the card I do have decides to cause my PC to no boot for about 40 mins. Ethernet, I don't have a cable long enough, and I can't haul my PC into the front room. And on Homeplugs atm.

Someone on another forum said it could be that my ISP has over subscribed my package. Which they have, they've done it to all the packages, so even if I drop down or increase it, it won't make a difference. Virgin have fooked up there.

I'll stick it out, hopefully they'll sort it out :/ Still, got some quite nice shots later on in the clips which I'll try and piece together later.

 

If I can find my PCI-E wireless card (haven't used it in a year or so due to ethernet connection) I'll send it to you for postage if you like; can't guarantee I'll find it but if I do will send you a PM.

That exact lag has been happening to me as well and my ISP doesn't do anything funky like limiting or anything of the sort. I'll get on a server with a 30 ping and get crazy rubber banding like that. Don't know what to make of it. 5 minutes later I'll reconnect to the same server and be fine.

 

I know you said you could afford a wifi card, but I'm sure you could get hold of a 15m ethernet cable for a few quid. I'm sure there are lots of ppl round here with 100m reels

 

Finally got the laser designator medal;


300 assists. Feck me it was arduous. Even with lasing every tank etc my team still lost xD. Now to start working on those knife kill ribbons.

 

I get similar rubber banding when trying to move. It stopped for me but seems to have returned this evening, very annoying. On a good connection, wired, so no probs there.

 

As you're using homeplugs, the problem is unlikely to be there - they're fairly simple and reliable pieces of kit.

Your video looks like my gameplay when our *upstream* connection is saturated with housemates' torrenting. My guess is that something, or someone, is maxing out the fairly limited upstream connection Virgin gives you.

 

......and theres a master dog tag for it too, totalling 1500 laser designations. (stuff that)

Why oh why is it that you don't get a laser des for helping to kill a jet or heli, thats's a major flaw, I would have thousands by now if that was the case.

I know it's not a damage assist when the javellin blows the heli out of the sky but lets face it, it's pretty damaged.

The same thoughts I had, this being my first Battlefield game.

So is that the frakin reason? I've not specifically lasered things towards the medal but when I checked I only have about 50 or so and I know I've done a hell of a lot more than that.

A heli being destroyed is the ultimate damage it can sustain, I don't understand why it wouldn't count.
