haha, M26 dart is still unpatched :D

can't wait for the next proper DLC to play a real Battlefield game. i for one will not be playing this infantry DLC, even if it's given to me for free.

regarding destruction discussion, maps like Oasis in BFBC2 was massive with all house destructible, it's also got all vehicles in Rush. yes, the level of destruction detail isn't as great as BF3, but in terms of gameplay, "HD Destruction" doesn't mean jack. for gameplay, destructible buildings changes gameplay completely.

only Caspian Boarder 500+ tickets give this sense of gameplay shift due to lack of tree cover from snipers. but it's a tiny shift compared to flattened houses.

I actually tweeted one of the Frostbite engine devs about this, and he replied saying that Memory was the problem. I'm assuming he was referring to vRAM as we all know, BF3 can use up to 2GB+ of vRAM in its current form. I wouldn't be surprised if decreased destruction was one of the ways they found to scale back on vRAM use.

To be fair to DICE the game is almost bug free. Which bugs are you referring too which make the game broken?

    [
They should have made both a 64 & 32Bit.exe files to manage more than 4GB of RAM.

    - Blank loading screen.
    - Game minimizing randomly and refusing to reopen until exited.
    - Spawn screen overlaying on screen when you are alive randomly.
    - Player frozen in spot and unable to do anything whilst game continues around them.

These are just some of the issues that are still going on and have been since release. Thankfully I only get the last three VERY sporadically, but I know it's a big issue for lots of people. There are a lot more, but these seem to be the main ones.

Rolling back drivers or trying newer drivers fixed the black screen for most. Any remaining then it's at the users end. Frankly, It cannot be a game fault as only a small number of people have this issue. Same with the spawn screen also these are quite minor, neither of them prevent you from actually playing the game.

Player frozen, never heard of this, have you got any usb peripherals connected other than mouse & keyboard ie joypad?

All of the problems I have mentioned are not small numbers. Even quick google searches show up loads of hits on these. The player freezing is to do with the connection to the server, where it shows a small disconnect icon on the top corner but the game continues on around the player.

Small problems, nothing preventing you from playing. Have you spoken with EA Technical? Have you played with the network setting in the game? Is your router accepting the game ports and Punkbuster? what anti-virus are your running, have you tried it turned off?

small problems, yes. but very annoying when it happens. it's the kind of bug that makes people think, "do i want to come back play this buggy game? why am i paying to beta test this? why is this bug still here after 6 months of game's release?"

most BF3 rounds i end up quitting out of frustration after a few rounds. only thing makes me come back is the M26 exploit :D it's one bug i hope it doesn't get fixed.

but there is no excuse such a massive, well defined exploit not fixed after the two patch releases. (one server, one client)

Name one game which doesn't have it's problems? Yes DICE are taking their times with patches but did you see the last one, there was a **** load of content and fixes.

I have frankly only ever experienced one bug and that was the menu whilst playing. I dead, then got revived almost immediately and I have the menu up. But as soon as I died again it came back to normal - this I wouldn't call a game breaker! There are far more serious faults out there for example Fallout 3 had a glitch big where you couldn't complete a certain mission (this is a game breaker) This didn't get patch until almost a year after release.

There are loads of issues still on going and the Dart Exploit is o e of the main ones. I know most servers kick for it like they would if you used MAV Elevation. Though in the 400 hairs i rarely come across the Dart Exploit at all.

A lot of it is luck, but use cover to your advantage i,e don't run and gun, and you'll shoot more people who aren't looking at you. I'm not saying camp, just be more aware of where other people are. I was playing a game of tdm, and was spotting the entire map, and watched at least three of my team mates get knifed, because they clearly weren't aware of their minimap, and the red triangle appearing right next to them.

most of Relic's games come to mind. for more recent games, Valve's fast patching Source games?

there's no reason why PC patches have to be in sync with console patches. with Origin, they could very well push out smaller patches that fix 1 bug at a time, eg. TV missile bug, M26 exploit.

why do you always defend DICE, are you an employee?

It's not against EA rules to use it though is it, I heard they had banned people for using exploits like using the mortar indoors on metro and getting up in the ceiling using the mav but you can't get banned for using the m26 dart combo can you?

Because the bugs you speak of are not game breakers. The game for me and many more DO NOT experience any problems that stop us from playing.

Agree, there is no reason patches for PC should come out with consoles but as EA has their sticky fingers all over DICE they have the last say! I ****ing hate EA the greedy *****!!

DICE could learn a lot from Valve's patching process. Unfortunately Demize99 and Gustav Halling are proponents of 'min/max' balancing, which means it takes them three patch cycles to reach the optimum setting for anything they tweak. Suppression is one example of this; the game launched with a fairly low setting, ultimately got patched to a fairly extreme rendition of it, and next patch it will likely be dropped to somewhere in the middle. As you can probably imagine, it's not the most efficient of patching philosophies.

No it isn't but server admins are inclined to kick for whatever reason they choose. In this instance using an obvious glitch. I know Aria Server admins kick for using exploits.

I have experienced the bugs listed, and in regards the network connection image top right of screen that is due to high ping and poor connection to server. I have had that in the past. Once a night I get black loading screen of death. All my drivers are up to date and I have no issues with anything else.

I'd like them to do small patch updates rather than one massive patch. Currently it's retarded the way they treat thier core audience. But then again some people expect to be treated differently!

Right click the game in Origin. Do an install repair!

Also, is your version the Russian key and English download? The fix for this is to manually edit the registry and set the language to English.

Here's just a couple of fixes for bugs which ARE not specific to the game but the users machine.
