Yep that'd be Greg alright. ;-) I still can't work out if he actually enjoys the game or not.

More great information there. We need to get flying together Dae. I've seen you online once or twice so next time I'll hit you up on battlelog.

Something neither of us mentioned is that you need to lead your targets by quite a lot, especially at longer ranges. You can watch pilots on YouTube to get a rough idea and then it's just practice.

 

So many hackers online now!

Username JRis78 - Was seen by me using a teleport hack. Jumping from 1 side of the map to the next. This was on one of Scan.co.uk servers. Which uses PB.

Also many players I have played with today was not dying after using half a clip to their face. Then 1 magical bullet from their gun kills you! Not a Ping issue, as my ping was @ 35ms. and everyone else was about 50ms.

Where are these servers, where people play fair, and don't need to hack, to make them look like Pro's?

 

Just thought I would add this, in case other peeps get the same problem.

Game disconnected: you were kicked by PunkBuster. Stated reason: PunkBuster kicked player 'imaboyracer' (for 2 minutes) ... Violation (IGNORING QUERIES) #9006

I kept getting this on Friday after 2mins of play. So I downloaded PB and updated it. That didn't solve it.

So after a bit more googling, it ended up just being a reboot. That was it!

punkbuster is generally good at keeping out the hackers...
but there will always be those that need to hack to win...
or buy there way to good stuff ( look at how many unlock packs have been released :S )

 

In addition to the last post, hackers can be a few days ahead of PB often. So they will have a few days where you will see a lot of hackers and then it's patched out. Generally though, 1 in 10 people you accuse of being hackers actually are, the rest can be rationally explained.

Well I have to agree with you there, on one server I was on today there was a conversation going on about how you'd be a moron to use outdated hacks. Not a moron for using hacks but for trying to use outdated ones. FFS.

I also experienced the almost impenetrable skin some players have developed where a whole clip just bounces off their face. Then to have someone appear from nowhere right in front of you without a beacon is frickin annoying.

That's why my quit % is pretty damned high, unless it's for reasons like taking calls and other necessities then it's primarily down to jumping off servers where there are obvious hackers. I'd rather quit and find a server where players are playing fair.

Those AA guys have been making hacks for years. If you read in to it, they only insure the hacks will work on day by day or week by week basis - this is due to PB patching them out.

If you've played FPS' online for 13 years or so like I have, you begin to see who is hacking and who is just plain good at using game mechanics/map tactics/aiming and you'll learn to live with a certain amount of chance and 'luck' deaths etc.. Too many people are too quick to throw the hack card, imo.

 

I've been bought a copy of BF3 which has prompted my sudden upgrade (see sig) as my old system wouldn't run it, at all. Once it's finished (2-3 weeks) I'll have to join you guys and you can show me the ropes. Shame about the hackers tho.

 

It's really not much of a problem. I've encountered about 2 hackers in 250 hours of play.

 

Yeah, it's not a huge issue unless you're on a server with no admins; most reputable servers will kick a hacker within seconds due to killcount-scripts.

 

I don't even see the appeal in hacking. What is the point in playing if there is not skill involved?

 

Had a decent game on le ZiiP server: BattleLog linkeh. Got beat to MVP 1-2, but I usually hate Metro, and shotguns.. I now love them! Suits my style of play (run at them screaming).

Some of you guys should hope on a bit more! A few of us also do the rounds on normal mode servers as well, the CPC one always seems empty though :/

 

If you are one of those people with a semi auto shotgun and fragmentation shells then please feel free to go die in a fire. On Xbox it's disgustingly over powered. I've been shot cross map by stupid frag shells. Now that player rented servers are a thing I've added a load of servers which have the glorious rule of "Frag shotgun = BAN" never been happier.

on seine crossing small conquest. Feck me though, my reg on dweller and phalanx is absolutely shyte, even when they aren't looking at me it seems as if I have to pump an entire round in. Oh well, at least they aren't playing against me that often . I was going 6 for 8 or something but then got a few claymore kills to get the ball rolling again, with a double kill on dom and and dweller I think it was. Ended up 20-14.

Went on afterwards to a canals game and had some really great squad work from two guys on my squad. Got a tank shell on a low flying attack heli which was sweet too, as one of the guys in it got my tags earlier that game, I just type 'maximum fail?' as his name was maximus or something .

 

I'm going to sound like a hypocrite but whatever, I'm venting. About 10 minutes ago, my clan was trying to get there own server started, so it was 10 vs 10 all clan members, no pubbers. I spawn into a jet to be spawn raped by the helicopter they stole from our own base. He was just sitting behind the runway in the gunner seat destroying anything that spawned at base. And to add insult to injury, that was after they already had all of the points. So no air support, no heli, maybe a tank if they didn't see you, but it wouldn't matter since they had a line of tanks surround all roads out. Then when I exit the server, I hear the guy who was raping "what a bunch of quiters"


Sometimes I really hate being in a clan.

 

Must be a **** clan then mate, you don't see anyone on the aria server base raping. It's an unwritten rule (plus when admin's on they will get in trouble), that you base rape, you get to fook off. I will admit I've waited for an enemy heli to spawn and wait for it at a on caspian border, as US side, but never full on waited in front of a spawn and shoot into it. What's funny is when people say, well you were shooting out of spawn, well that's usually because you were within line of sight of the spawn, not an excuse to attack the base.
