Ain't torrents. Even speedtest shows something's up. I think it's BT's traffic shaping falling over in this area while they're replacing lines with Fiber. So I'm getting full speed, but it's like it's queuing up packets, only to burst them across available channels (Hence; I've seen peaks in speedtest of 132 Mb/s so far, averages from 12-14 mb/s, which is what I should be getting.)

Still ruining my latencies, though. Annoyingly; Pingtest doesn't seem to be affected by these issues.]

My Noise margin is less than 3dB, too. Jeeez. I've heard reports that averages should be closer to 7dB.

    0%.

Average Ping variance? 1ms. It makes no sense. It's like BT's clever traffic shaping is making everything but games work near flawlessly. It's downright irritating.

Especially when I manage to charge up to Deadbolt. empty a full Saiga clip into him. knife him three times, then I'm suddenly dead because he's 70m away and dodged everything on the server.

Jeez. It just took three minutes to post this, and it did it twice. Pile of ass. I may have to send a "Strongly worded" letter to BT, expressing my disdain in them, their parentage, and the status of their mothers' sexual lives.

No worries, I enjoyed hopping on the Ziip TS and chatting to you guys. I'll definitely be on again soon, hopefully when the server's a bit fuller and we're playing some Conquest maps. I'm very keen to try out that hardcore flying I've been practising. You're the ultimate test. :D

Question for you guys: Has anyone used G2Plays 'Russian Language version' of Battlefield?

My housemate is just about to get into PC gaming, and they have BF3 + B2K for £21 and I'm wondering if that's the best way to get it.

Any downsides to buying the Russian version through G2Play that I should know about?

No idea try Google? The language should be changeable to English so don't see the problem.

And yay fresh meat for the CPC Server.

It's because I'm not around. And everyone knows that my cheesecake brings all the players to the yard. .

And because Deadbolt's a deadly showgirl.

And if you want to change your language I think you just have to delete certain language files. Mind you the russian version changes back to russian everytime you update. So be aware.

Good games last night, especially when everyone decided that was the night to migrate to a hardcore server. The amount of times I heard my name being cussed in that Little Bird was grin-inducing. :D

As Elton said, any time it updates it will revert back to Russian.

Here's a good deal for an English version:
    http://www.greenmangaming.com/s/gb/e...battlefield-3/

Use Code COSYO-UDIDN-TGET1 to get it for £16.

Then he can just buy Premium, it has Karkand in it already

*think Tesco had premium on sale for ~£30

I've got family down at the mo, and they're staying all weekend, so not much chance of me jumping in for a bit :sigh:

Only because you were being a little p*ssy. Every time one of us locked on; you'd pop ECM and run away like a little girl.

On a side note; my playing is probably going to be even worse for a week. I'm back on my old, glitchy, £12 POS backup mouse. While my RAT is off for repairs/replacement.

Hardly run away. If you were being less of a p*ssy you'd use an RPG. ;) And I only dropped to the deck, not run away. I kept in range every time for lockons. Even people on mumble were saying how I was using the buildings rather than just flying away. :)

Also, I didn't hear you complaining about running away/taking cover when I came to engage you on the rooftops. :p

Feh. With my latency; it'd be a one in several million shot with an RPG. At that distance; You'd dodge it. Locked on Launchers was really the only way I could go.

That said; I had a great deal of fun messing with the Sniper's Mav that kept harassing the team.
