I've just been able to contact the admin via their forum. Seems it was a cock up with the servers at their end and they have reversed the ban.

Well, pub servers. Hopped on one today, all 5 flags down and 11 of the 20 something team I joined were snipers...

Another thing I've noticed, I've had my tags taken a few times recently - what I don't get is that I get them taken as I'm killing off an e or 2. Why? Why wouldn't a team mate take me out before I can kill his comrades (and they haven't been taken by Assault guys who could revive).

Makes no sense.

I still see lots of '[insert type of weapon or vehicle] noob' around as well. Seriously, a kill is a kill is a kill, be it a knife, an RPG or driving over someone in a jeep, why do some people seem to think they only get killed because of weapon type and not gameplay?

It does make me chuckle, perhaps there should be handbag only server where you have to beat each other to death with ladies accessories.

Is that not 130 kills, 101 headshots? Good going for a P90 though.

 

In one update period it's 98.72% headshot rate, I'm inclined to believe db is legit, but it is easy to see why a stat whore might think otherwise.

 

Being called a Noob in reference to using a weapon is common place. I laugh at that. Always someone with multiple kills by me who is a lower rank and kill to death at the time.

 

I've never actually looked at my stats page before (at least not outside of battlelog). Some of those headshot counts I find rather surprising, particularly with the .44 scoped (80%), but that P90 HS rate does seem high, now it's been brought to my attention.

 

Damn BF4 shown behind closed doors this week but no show at PS4 event. Ah well. E3 then.

Aye, same here. I got called it yesterday so I replied 'nooby nooby noob noob', to which I was asked if I was 'mad bro?'. Not sure how that could be taken as being mad

People doing the same to each other today, going on about 'come up in a jet and I'll show you how good i am' or 'come down here and I'll show how good I am'....

I happened to note that the best thing people seem to be at on BF3 is bitchin. It seemed to stop after that.

 

I want to get 'back' into the game (I never really got into it, I still prefer Bad Company 2 as it is much more fun) but I just can't play more than 5-10 minutes before I crash. It always happens the same way; I die and then the screen goes black. If I don't hurry and stop the game via the task manager, the whole PC ends up crashing.


Everything is up to date and no other game ever crashes (Bad Company 2, TF2, Portal 2, League of Legends)

Has anyone found a fix to this yet ?

 

Have you tried disabling your sli? I haven't come across the game crashing like that before.

 

I haven't tried yet but to be honest I would rather not as I am already extremely unsatisfied with my framerate while running TWO cards... I can't imagine playing with only 1

 

Sucks mate. What size screen are you using?

 

22". I play the game at the lowest settings and can get FPS drops as low as 50, which is unacceptable (and unplayable, let's not get into this) in my book

I know the game used to be much more fluid back when my i7 was oc'ed to 4Ghz but it just can't hold the frequency anymore and it's a major pain in the ass to overclock

 

What on earth - Silly question, but both 570s are running on, at least 8x sockets, aren't they? The only times I've heard of a GPU doing that badly is when someone dumped their 570 into a PCI-E 4x socket, let alone two of them in SLI. Even my 550's can hold 30-40FPS on medium, with the odd drop to 20, and that's less than half the power of your setup.

Failing that; Run through and Reinstall DX9, 11, and Microsoft's XNA framework, latest version. I think BF3 relies on all three, so if one of them is slightly out; it could cause the game to fall over.

 

yeah I haven't checked in forever but they should be running on a 16x slot each, yes. Yeah I guess I could try updating dx, I'll admit i didn't think of that (shame on me)

oh and for the record, nothing is overheating. Not even close

 

Pull up GPUz, it should say the rated Bus speeds, Anything below 8X and i'd start swapping cards around. As for BF3; Short of redownloading the entire damn game, DX9&11 are the only ones I can think up that could be causing game specific issues.

 

16X for both, just as i thought.

 

My old single 570 setup could hold 60fps at high settings like a rock, so disable SLI and see what happens.

(also, 50fps is totally playable - I play it every day at 50-60fps and its great!)
