I know, I've tinkered here and there.

Just for a try I switched to 'high' today and the weird thing was it felt more sluggish, and my hit markers seemed a bit all over the place, than it did when I switched back to ultra...?!??!

What drivers are you on? Not sure what the best sli ones are, I've found the best ones for my one card are the 306.97 drivers. Any since then seem to nerf the performance for me in one way or another.

Then again other people seem to have better results from later drivers.

As you say though, it is a mystery this game, it seems to have different requirements from every single PC on the planet.

Yup, maps look really good as well as the increased pace.

Can't say I'm too bothered about capture the flag, and even less so air superiority (12v12 jets, that's going to be a lot of going around in circles unless you get a ton of noobs on).

Mind you I am a conquest fanboi so I am biased.

No new weapons, assignments, dogtags? Guess we'll see as and when although don't we get it on PC much later than PS3/Xbox?

Like I say, great looking maps though.

 

Premium get it before everyone else I believe.

On an aside, if anyone is looking for a cheap headset my first impressions of the Creative HS800 Fatal1ty Gaming Headset that turned up today are great for a set that cost less than £25. Im hearing sounds I didn't know were there.

I've only done that twice so far. And it seems to be random as hell. First time it grabbed me at Circa 1000 ft~, the next time it snagged me as low as 600 Ft.

Either way; I'd use that Tag.

 

The IFV drop ship should be called: Falling With Style or Oh look a flying Tank....ala The A Team remake.

 

Personal favourite idea is "F*** your flying sharks", but I doubt Dice would make references like that.

 

It doesn't help that the height limit seems to be different on each level. The ceiling on Nosehair seems to lower to the tune of several thousands feet than it is on Firestorm and Caspian, with Karg and Bandar somewhere in between. It's really weird, but quite funny to cruise up to someone stuck and stand on their plane...

 

The game ceiling has been the way it is since release. Some tweaks here and there on certain maps. Noshar used to be lower I believe. The ceiling is lower because the focus isn't about air but about ground troops etc

 

So we have to wait another 10 days to play end game

 

Need to learn to fly in that time I guess.

I'm no jet ace but i can fly a bit, if yhere's someone equally ok though i just don't bother as i can spend ages just going round in circles with them which just gets boring.

 

The ceiling is roughly 900m on Caspian, 1000m on Kharg and 1000-1100 on Op Firestorm. I think. It is much lower on Noshahr though: 600-700m.

 

Learn?

Aircraft maintain hover and cruising speed now, except for the ground there is nothing to learn.

 

The thing to learn is not to get wiped out in a few seconds by a really good pilot.
