Christ alive! This thread not only still exists, but there are still people posting in it (now including me).

You guys know there are other games, don't you? - How much fun can this really be at this stage when most people have 'gone pro' I believe is the correct term?

 

The people that still post here play for fun, and whilst some have thousands of hours we do play other games.

 

The Humble Bundle got BF3 a lot of new players recently, and yes we do all still play other games

 

I've only played 410hours, about 0.6 hours a day on average, tried to play TW: Rome 2, but was shocking, did Tomb Raider until I broke the game save by going somewhere I shouldn't have. Played Blacklight: Retribution for a while, that was when I really didn't like suppression. Am now playing BF3 and Planatery Annihilation. Also did you know that BF3 since release has more than double the number of maps since release with expansions?

There has also been a constant tied of console players swayed to PC, to experience the full gamut of BF3 offerings. Also there have been CoD players joining, you can always see those players too, they panic prone - and die

CoD players are easy to spot, they fire an entire magazine at you in one go, miss, then start ranting hysterically about hackers and noob tubes when you cross bow them in the face.

I had a guy the other night, every single time I shot him he'd be on the chat with my name and KICK AND BAN HACKER repeated five or six times. I think I got him 10 times by the end, it was slightly hilarious.

 

Its only been out two years, and an additional 20 maps have been added since release. I assume you are still playing the same games from 2009 on your 4890?

New games don't get the automatic right to replace the old ones, otherwise we'd all be playing Warfighter.

Speaking of which, I have the sudden urge to play BF2...

 

Had a few fun rounds playing armoured kill this evening. Went 39-0,43-0,34-0 for three games in a row. The second game I was on, my team I joined on was losing by 300 tickets so was nice to get a win there. I really hope they bring the tank destroyer to bf4.

In other news this guy who works at my new job also plays bf3. 200spm,8% accuracy, 0.5kd, 100 hours play time. He says he doesn't like tanks haha. I said, yeah I don't like jets or helicopters either, but that's only because I'm **** with them

Haha I have seen plenty of cod folks recently who do the quick prone im scared of dying thing.

I don't mind jets as long as the fight isnt one sided.

Helicopters are fun if you have decent pilots. BF4 helis are lots of fun. So much easier to fly than BF3. Hence the 'pro' killstreaks that are on youtube. Those kinds of streaks are easy farm kills on noob teams.

I will admit I had some fun runs against heli pilots who tried to take me out failed ans bailed. Which was annoying.

BF4 helis having maneuverability damaged can be quite hard to control. But it is controllable and in doing so can stay in the air and blitz the enemie heli if he doesnt know how to control it.

Something I have seen a few times tbh.

Seemingly willing it to stay in the air kind if works.

That and using mouse to level the heli.

Will do some more videos on this when the game is released.

anyone with problems running bf3 with windows 8.1 ?

 

I haven't ran BF3 since I moved to 8.1 it ran great on 8 tbh.
