He's making over ninety kills an hour with both jets.

As a total jet whore who makes around fifty kills an hour with the jets, that's entirely possible, you just have to be a complete b!tch about it and abuse infantry/LAVs/Transports non stop. Getting into actual dogfights takes your kill rate right down.

His overall accuracy is quite high, but if he's rocketing LAV's all day it will be.

 

I can tell you right now that he was abusing infantry and ground vehicles non stop. I tried to engage him with a stinger from the top of a mountain for about 15 minutes and never got a lock because he was using stealth and IR smoke, and none of our jets were in the air 2 minutes before being shot down by him, his wingman or their equally annoying (read: I'm a total skillless douchebag) attack heli pilot, who sat about 400' out to sea off the bow of our carrier all game long, picking off ground vehicles as they spawned and spamming rockets at the deck of the carrier itself, hitting a jet or heli on takeoff now and then.

Needless to say I quit that game.

 

If that server had active admin those douche canoes would have been banned straight away.

I hate guys like that.

Yeah, but it never does have active admins It's a Russian server and very few people who play on it even speak English never mind there being admins to enforce rules, despite there being rules scrolling in the chat window.

 

Simple advice then. Play on a server with admins.

Well, since you're a self confessed jet whore, maybe you can tell me about this guy. This cockroach joins un-admined/no report servers that I play on occasionally - servers which are full of players with my rank (CST19) or below, and decimates the whole team in a jet or a helo whether their team are losing on tickets or not. He does not care about W/L, he just wants the kills. He's a CST100 stat padder playing on low skill servers scoring big KDRs. I just left a fast vehicle spawn server after seeing him join and make 10 kills in a jet within the first 2 minutes of joining the server. He is impossible to kill in the air. Any time he does die, it's because of stupidity on his teams part or jet ramming etc. What do you think? Hacker or no life ****? I mean, come on... 157 jet service stars in both. Is that even possible in 1400 hours?

 

Well there's yer problem.

Regards his jet skills, 45 k/hr which is about the same as mine, he could be using macros to ensure he's got perfect turn and counter measure on tap, or have an aim bot, or just be a total sh!tbucket. In his stats he pretty much plays nothing but jet jet jet, he doesn't even seem to play jet in any maps that don't have the stock jets.

regards service stars, jet service stars are shared, he has 157 Stars across all jets, not 157 in F18 and 157 in SU35.

I know I've been told before about playing on un-admined/no report servers, but it was a quick way to level up jets and helo's for me and it worked. It's hard to find quick vehicle spawn servers which have admins all the time.

I unlocked everything for the scout choppers first in about a week of playing normal CQL on Damavand and fast vehicle spawn CQL on Caspian/Oman/Firestorm/Kharg, then moved on to attack birds and got TV missile yesterday afternoon after about 3 weeks of flying the Viper/Havoc with plenty of jet time in between when they were tied up by other squads, netting me all upgrades up to a couple of thousand below maintenance in jets. I really enjoy flying in the game and already have a few different bindings of my own to make it easier and more efficient. From now on I'll be playing on administrated/report enabled servers, but I need a wing man/gunner! Do any of you still play this?

What happened to Telltale?

 

Traded BF3 jets for real planes at a cool uni. When playing CQL with him it was always a case of crying to him "I'm being shot at by a jet, what are you doing kill it, kill it now!" Rarely it would be met by, "this guy is actually pretty good."

 

So Telltale was a jet pro? I didn't know that.

 

To the point of nobody being on the other team if he's flying. He was like top 5 or something stupid in the EU 1v1 ladder.

 

Telltale could effectively lock down the sky. I've made the mistake of attempting to fly against him before, and to say that the fight was short would be understatement, it was nothing less than complete obliteration.

 

That's awesome. I have no problem with people being good, but there's a place for them to play: hardcore, high rank servers. 100 CST jet pro's/whores constantly (DAILY) raping servers which low rank players frequent is just a cheating scumbag move to pad stats. I have no respect for players who do that in BF.

 

Nubs can only improve by playing with better players. The kind of person that seeks out a sanitised playground only populated by other nubs is unlikely to improve with the same rapidity as someone playing with more experienced folk. No sympathy..

Nubs improve best on high quality servers with high quality players and high quality admins. High level players in with the bambies is fine, but they need to be split between the teams as evenly as possible to keep the game overall close.

Occasionally they also need smashing over the head by admins when they start declaring themselves God's gift, even if they do put money into the server sub. This way, lot's of people have a nice time and the server justifies it's expense.

Servers where sh!tbuckets and hackers are free to murder and pillage don't make a good environment, they just get depopulated then closed.

 

With all due respect to the above 2 opinions, I've been a nub in more games than most. All it takes to get a positive k/d ratio (admittedly not the best metric of success) is to focus/specialise. I don't think we all understand how bad most players of first-person perspective multiplayer games are... they're terrible.

The time I learnt the most about BF2 was on a team of nubs (as a nub) against a team of pros. It was on Kubra dam, and it became apparent within 10 minutes that it was possible to close off one of the two main avenues of advance with 3-4 anti-vehicle mines.

At the end of the day, if you're looking for vehicle only servers you are clearly going to get pwned by other retards who have specialised in vehicles for dozens of hours. Play a normal server, use some intelligence and reap the rewards.

 

Bah I'll be back on in a week or so when I'm back home for Easter.

I imagine I'll be a bit rusty though, I've just spent a week flying real planes and dem real life physics don't quite translate.
