Hi guys, I'm upgrading my system to i5, but I'm stuck on what motherboard to get. I'm on a budget, 120 dollars AU is the limit. Thinking Intel BOXDP55WB. Link
The intel boards are fine but they have no overclocking features, do you plan to overclock at all? If not then it will be fine but as the i5/7's clock so well its maybe a good idea to look at somthing like this: http://www.centralcomputers.com/com...i5---i7-lga1156-dd-p7p55d_le-motasup7p03r.htm little over your budget but would allow for plenty of bios adjustments.
welcome to the forums mulalatu. I would look at this Motherboard Reviews. CustomPC done a round up of budget p55 mobos. Doesn't seem to be on the site tho but from the review the gigabyte GA-p55M-UD2 came top I couldn't be annoyed typing price lists and specification lists of every mobo reviewed in the article. Answer these and Ill narrow it down further, if your not worried then just leave out..... Number of USB ports needed: number of fan headers: Will you be overclocking: PCI/PCI-E/16 X PCI slots required: Firewire required: form (ATX, uATX):
