Do these prices include the 30% cut Apple wants to take for all your hard work??

Great I look forward to getting the Android version at a cheaper price then!

Oh no wait wouldn't that be against Apple's pricing policy?

Looking forward to the Android version.

But I agree it would be nice if this came free with the paper subscription!

I will also expect to see the android version retailing for a lower price. Good news IMHO.

I'm also interested in some sort of discount for subscribers. Maybe?

    iPhone 4 + "Retina" display + IPS panel + subscription = pure ownage :D

no need to ask the other question :D

but to be fair, i'd consider buy it if i can input my paper subscription number to get issues to read. don't really want to buy it twice. no matter how many times Harry shouts Buy the mag in podcasts.

Why should I pay for this if I subscribe to mag?!
Also there are pdf issues of CPC on the web for download - I was under the impression that they're prodcued by CPC/Dennis pub?
I have bit-tech bookmarked and it does me with the CPC mag coming thru my door.

Death to the iphone! Android is (one possilbe!) future!

You know, you don't HAVE to subscribe, right? If you want the paper copy of the mag (which costs more to make) then you can have. If you just want the site (for free) then you can have that. If you want an electronic version for your iDevice...well, now you can have that too. You can also order an electronic version for your PC too. All we're doing is providing another avenue for readers to access the content, not at the expense of others.

Why should you pay for this if you subscribe to the mag?
You shouldn't, unless you want to. In which case you can.

It's a different revenue stream because it's in a different format and obviously requires extra staff time and costs to set up and run.

    Why should it be free?

    Because its the same info!
How about this, increase the cost of the mag by x per year and give access to all distribution options.

How about not as I just want the magazine and not an online one?

Why should I suffer an increase in price so that it can subsidize you in wanting the digital version for free?

Edit: Consider it this way. I buy a retail game, I don't automaticaly get a free digital download of the same game. Why should I?

Erm, you'll find that alot of games will allow you to put your cd key into steam and allow you access there.

But yes, you are right, i just want a paper subscription, i don't want to pay extra for something i'm not going to use. I'm still not a fan of all these digital copies; give me a hard copy any day.

Ok, bad example. I shall try and think of another. :D

That said, I'm finding it a bit fruitless trying to argue logic against freebie hunters so maybe I won't bother.

    Quite. :thumb:

A lot of CustomPC are the same reviews as the one's on Bit-Tech. Yet you still buy the subscription. I buy the mag so i don't have to rely on the Internet to read reviews.
It's up to someone what they wish to do, if they have a nice, shiny 3G plan on their iPhone/pad, then they can browse and read it on the move. It's also cheaper for them as it costs less to buy compared to the paper version. For someone like me whose parents unfortunately rather i didn't take out a expensive 3G plan for my phone, a normal paper printed magazine is the only alternative.

There's about (roughly adds up the list of games you can unlock using the CD key on the steam site) 66 games that can be unlocked using a CD key. That's not that many when you consider how many games are actually on steam, so it's not that bad an analagy.

    Exactly :p.
No one is forcing this down anyone's throat.
If you want it, buy it.
    If not, don't. Simples.

Actually, can I get a sub to your mag stateside? I work in an environment where I can't have a phone with me, so paper mags are the shiz for me.
