Hey guys, I'm on good internet: But I still constantly get issues from lag constantly on wired and wireless connections. Playing Arms race on CS:GO with just bots online and I still get lag spikes every 5 - 10 seconds and it's just pissing me off. On that internet I can download youtube videos at 1080p ok on wired connection on my computer, but on wireless through my ipad it just barely loads and constantly freezes. Is it the internet or could it be the router? The router is the one from Virgin Media and it used to be fine, but now I constantly get problems.
The last time I had Virgin I had lag spike issues, would be fine most of the time but similar to you it would just spike to 500+ making playing anything competitively basically impossible That router may be the problem, it's certainly not great
It doesn't show up when playing that my ping sky rockets though. It just happens a tiny bit constantly.
Dropping packets perhaps? I don't know if you can do it on the superhub, but on the older modems you could log into them and see what they were up to. Power levels, timeouts and so on. http://192.168.100.1/ You could have a goosey through the event log just don't post it all up as your mac addy is in there. See how many T3 and T4 timeouts you been getting and correctable/uncorrectable codewords. Eergh brings back memorys of badgering Virgin and getting them out so many times they eventually gave me a thicker copper cable from the street cabinet to my house lol!
