hey my gf's birthday is coming up and I wanna give her something digital but nothing too expensive. U no I wanna make something of my own which looks nice and silvery and stuff. U no any good suggestions something that is unique.

the whole point in posting this thread was that i wanted to make something of my own. My gf doesn't like it if I give her something expensive
no buddy you have it all wrong. she SAYS she doenst like it but she REALLY does.... trust me. anyway, my girl likes it when i make/give her things that remind her of something...like if i take pictars and old movie stubbs and notes and put them all in a frame. or if i put a bunch of pictars together in a little hand made story book. chicks really dig it when you remember something that they never thought you would. like making her a card that has a lot of her favorite color, even though you never really talked about it. if you have the time and resources make her a cd or a dvd. i made my girl a cd of songs that reminded me of her, then made a second cd with samples of the songs, and me explaining why that particular song reminded me of her. she LOVED it. easy enough. surely you have a cd burner..... some say the "mix tape" is the ultimate chick gift.... my next project will be video/pictures made into a movie and put on a dvd...but dont tell her that. or, it may be a picture book made in iphoto and emailed away for a hard bound book. i always wanted to do that. btw...i think this would be better in "modding" LOL.
ok something you can make... ShagBeard had the right idea id go to your local craft shop (Michals, hobby loby, that sort of thing) and browse arround. see what you find something may shoot you in the back of the haed while your walking away.
I got an ex a usb hard-drive and put all of my music on it, and all of our holiday photos. She wanted a ring But she's well pleased now And you could always mod the enclosure, paint it her fav colour, stick photos on it, or whatever...
How about giving her a nice picture of the Earth and say “I wanted to give you the world but nobody would sell it to me so here is the world!” I did this once. I found a nice view from here. Then took this to a photo printing place to have it printed on really nice paper..
