Modding GFX fan

    Hi. I've just savaged a 60mm fan from my sis's old HSF and wanted to put it on my XFX FX5200. Can anyone thing of how I could attatch it? I thought of hanging it off the card with string?!

    I used my erector set: screwed it to the pci slot, then used a 90 degree angle erector piece and screwed it into the fan. Thats actually an extra fan from my fan collection from a p4 heatsink, they look cool and are REALLY quite, at least this one was.

    I just screwed my 60mm fan onto the hs on the card, screws should fit just between the fins holding it on

    Thanks for your help. Sadly, the heatsink on it is tiny and the fan would be too bg to simply screw in :( . Maybe I shoulda bought a bigger graphics card that doesn't make me cry everytime I run 3DMark.

    I know what you mean :sigh: i got a 5200 Ultra.. but since it sucked so bad i changed to my lovely 9200

    Lol, they are pretty crap. I don't play games that much anyway, only got a few (FS04, Call of Duty). That's why I got an Xbox. The only reason I didn't get a 9200 was the DX9 support, not that I'm too bothered about GPUs.

    High temperature hot glue does wonders will be sufficent.
