Gigabyte for OC? Surely not....

    For all those who still don't believe that the gigabyte GA-7VRXP is a good board all round, take a look at http://www.amdmb.com/article-display.php?ArticleID=188

    A Tbred 2200+ clocked to 2123MHz, with only a smallish Vantec copper heatsink. Read the article, and you will see that the writer makes comparison to the 8K3A+, and I quote:

    "I used the Gigabyte motherboard that AMD supplied with the Thoroughbred processor. There was some thought that perhaps the Epox 8K3A+ motherboard had some features or power benefits that other reviewers might not have had. Even with the new motherboard, I saw nearly identical results, with the frequency reaching a staggering 2123.64 MHz"

    That has got to be giving P4B a run for its money.

    All this, from a board that will cost you £90, with RAID, NIC, creative PCI128 sound, USB 2.0....

    Pah, i paid £95 for my P4B-RU and £145 for a 2.0a that clocks to 2660 on defualt volts. So we'll see whos boss! yea...

    I think Toms hardware gave the gigabite overall top in the KT333 roundup.
