    Yeh but can it run Metro 2033 maxed out with 4x MSAA 16xAF DOF and Tessellation ON?

    Can't wait to see some benchmarks as the Gigabyte HD 5870 SOC was easily the best HD 5870 and maybe Gigabyte can continue the trend and produce a cooler running GTX 480 with better performance. With the prices dropping like console resolution and frame rates the GTX 480 is a very attractive card.

    Too bad it's such a Watt Goblin

    A card about to be made redunant by both nVidia -gtx580 and AMD 6950/6970 and 6990.

    So what's the point?

    I don't thing the GTX 580 will make the 480 redundant as so much as the 470 will be worthless once the 480 drops it's prices to $350 or lower.

    A gtx 460 x2 will make all Nvidia cards redundant especially if the price is right

    can they stop calling it SOC, it's really not funny anymore. everytime i see it, i think it's a single chip solution.

    i was gonna say "with 580 comin in a week, whats the point, really?" then i remember 580 might come with 599 price tag soooo.................... lol

    I do like the cooler on the gigabyte card, its not to large and stays within the two pci limits.
