Thanks, but given the argument that devs aim for 90% of the market plays stutter-free on high, I want numbers for the 1060. Based on the latest Steam hardware survey that's the most common card in the gaming community, isn't it?

Only goes down to the 1070 / Vega 56, https://bit-tech.net/reviews/tech/graphics/sapphire-radeon-rx-vega-56-nitro-review/8/

But we can make an educated guess based on the numbers present, 1060 should be around high 30s low 40s min fps and avg should come out around 50.

These numbers sound realistic. But they just support my theory that game devs do not aim for high settings for 90% of the market at 1080p. Thanks for crawling through the archives, though. :)

It is not a game that requires high fps though to be fair, though tearing can be an issue if you haven't got one of the variable sync systems.

My point is that we should not accept less than 60 fps stable for "the average system" in 1080p today. And we should not accept less than 60 fps stable in 4K using a 1100 GBP gfx card.

Not sure how prevalent it is but there's reports that 2080 Ti's have a propensity to die on people.

Mine's been working without issue so far. Usual disclaimer: people with faulty hardware will post a lot about it, people with working hardware don't bother, so perception is easily skewed.

True and the article does mention that towards the end, but if you look on Nvidia's forum there does seem to be quiet a lot of posts about it, IDK if it's more or less than previous generations.
