Only 1 week to go!
Will it be making an appearance at an event in Long Eaton next weekend?
I hate all theese teasers.
If you cant show something, wait till you can, then if its good i will spend my money on it.
P.S, I love my x58 UD9, so i hope its good enough to replace that.
By the sounds of it they will, new motherboard of some sort, will be fun to have a play with it.
Attempt at hyperbole... meh.
Let me guess, they've fixed their laggy UEFI?
Depends if you feel Haswell is that replacement.
The promo has been just announced!
For details please check this info
Had a bit of a play with the new OC board yesterday, such a good looking board.
Pity the performance didn't quite seem to match, but I guess it's very early with the BIOS etc.
I like the look of the watercooling option, assuming the mistake of the ud9 x58, not having 1/2" fittings, hopefully they are changeable?
However so far its looking like the MSI Xpower one, whilst it hasnt waterfittings as standard, it is XL-ATX, which is the seller for me so far.
I was hoping to get a Gigabyte board again, but not sure how long it will be till you get the Haswell/Waterfittings/XLATX version available?
I'd like to make a suggestion about the watercooling
Most people won't use them, because either they don't watercool, or their preferred tubing size is incorrect.
What you could do (for the first time, because no other manufacturer has done this), is add G1/4" threads with removable screw caps to close them off. So if you don't want to watercool you won't have those fugly barbs on the board and if you do watercool you can choose your own fittings (compresion, angled, tubing size)!
EDIT: ASUS has just announced their Maximus VI Formula with G1/4" threads too :/
: Yeah like the Foxconn Blackops did.
(mobo now gathering dust though) was a good board.
Im suspecting though that mobo manufactures prefer a fixed sealed system, as im sure they dont want extra headache of more rmas due to leaks.
Im guessing thats prob the reason for not using changeable barbs/fittings.
I have never had a gigabyte board maybe one day.
I'd prefer this to the cooler to be honest
Sadly, they haven't fixed the Boot Cycling problem on my UD7 and addressed in this 79 page thread, so I won't be buying another Gigabyte board....hmm...ever.
