Some of the replies here are funny, and give the distinct feeling of traveling back to a time when men wore loincloths and killed their food with giant clubs.

To be honest, the inclusion of the short rant about homosexual men makes me wonder if Fozzy would be as upset if he caught his girlfriend "making out" with a straight guy, or perhaps another woman.

Indeed, having read it again it almost seems that he was more annoyed that she'd "made out" with a gay guy and then refused to brush her teeth before coming near him, rather than the simple issue of having "made out" with someone else.

An ex of mine made out with a girl in front of me... no problem because she wasn't any kind of competitor to me.

If it'd had been a guy though, she'd have been out the door and he'd have been put through it.

Oh my god, can we seriously stop with the "I'd have hit him/smacked him/knocked his teeth out/put him through a door" or whatever other euphemism you can come up with for inflicting physical harm. We get it, you're all 'real' men who solve your problems with violence and like to make sure everyone knows it.

It's not our fault that you don't have a girlfriend worth fighting for. :p

This thread is so full of win :D

And no, it is not because we are big macho men who likes to slap around other people. But friends need to respect borders. I would never, ever, even completely W.A.S.T.E.D. kiss one of my friends girlfriends. In my book of personal "rules" it is just a big no-no, even if she started.

Those are not euphemisms, whereas saying he would sleep with the fishes, would be.:p

I feel for you. That situation sucks.

I don't agree with the last point. In my opinion, this could be turned into one of those moments where you strengthen the foundation of your relationship. The key here is that it's not so much dishonesty as different boundaries.

Would it have been better if you guys discussed boundaries before bumping into them like this? Sure. But that doesn't mean that all is lost and you should abandon ship. Make the best out of it, and use it as an opportunity to discuss your respective points of view on these things. If you are both willing to compromise and come to an agreement, you might get out of this stronger than before.

Take some time to cool off a bit. Then talk to her, and don't forget to listen to what she has to say. Good luck mate.

Dump the girlfriend, cut ties with the flatmate ASAP. Anything else, and you're asking for trouble. They're both bad news.

Allow me to suggest in line with the above video that we all 'lighten the f*** up.' If anyone here is actually suggesting anyone hits a girl, they obviously didn't learn the first rule of primary school, which is girls remember you pulling their hair and they double in size before you turn 13, so karma will balance out and they will ruin your s***.

There's a serious point about lightening up, though. Letting stuff like this weigh on your mind will only make it worse, so bring it up with the girlfriend and let her know exactly why you're beyond pissed off. It's inconsequential to your relationship with her that the guy is gay and that he's a friend of yours - that affects your relationship with him. You may feel it necessary to settle things with him, but it's quite clear this isn't some sort of secret affair where he's been consciously betraying you, he was apparently just the first means she had at getting back at you. Bear that in mind before you go all He-Man on him.

It seems pretty clear to me that this was a not-very-funny (perhaps not intended to be very funny) joke at the expense of a boyfriend to get back at him for fighting with her. There are more mature and more immature ways of getting back - it's purely for him to decide whether this is something he truly cannot forgive. I suggest you can if you want to without unnecessarily letting her walk all over you, but you can't suggest that you are now entitled to piss her off in return - that's as unhealthy as letting this hang over you.

    Good luck, either way.

Well i'd be calling you dumb for letting her do it to you twice!

True, he almost seems to believe her pathetic excuse and is more pissed that she didn't want to wash the gayness from her mouth.

I'd call the crossing the basic boundary of not fooling around with someone else while your partner is in the other room dishonesty.

The only way this can strengthen the relationship, is if they are both honest about how they feel = a big apology & confession from her for her feelings of being a $lut, and for him to let her know exactly how he feels about having a girlfriend that was being a $lut.
It may take a little time until things have calmed down before the relationship could progress, but if any dumped girl or boy cares about their ex at all, they'll be begging them for another chance.

Your friend is obviously neither gay, or indeed a friend. Your girlfriend is clearly a cheating, dishonest, self centred ****. Lose them both, move on.

Harsh? The truth often is. There's no point pursuing a course of action that will get you hurt again in the future.. which it will if you stay with her.. or him for that matter.
