I have just notice that There is 1 girl on this forum! Also no 1 girl did a mod or build a case! or use a power tools Or even care about computers

I'm right or not? Why guys only mod! I'm just wondering

There was a girl on the forum who made a very pink case mod a while back.. It was very very pink. The rest though..... they hide in the shadows...

 

Very few do, mostly because they've never found an interest in computers (typically considered a "male" pursuit) or because people automatically go "OMGWTFflyingsquirrelR0X0RZ!!!!! J00 MUST DATE ME!!!!" or something else inappropriate. I've seen girls on tech forums, and most get a lot of rude PMs and such. Or unwanted attention in the forums, and so on...

If you want girl gamers/modders, there's the Frag Dolls, and a few other all-girl gaming teams, but there are no female-specific modding sites. The atmosphere simply needs to be more conducive to them coming to Bit and other places (in other words, people have to stop thinking it's just for guys.)

 

There are plenty of females here, they just don't go round shouting about there gender for obvious fears of an overly-sexually-charged geek trying to interweb-stalk them.

damn I forgot the name of the girl that was on nokytech about 2 years ago. She made a great mod out of copper and the result was really impressive. Anyway if I can remember her name, i'll link to her topic

Emzay has been on this forum longer then me and there have been mods by girls. Not much but some. Seems really that it is a gender thing but over time i think that more and more girls get into it.

 

The problem is that whenever a girl does come on and openly admit she is one she gets blokes slavering all over her project log and demanding pics.
