last night around 2:30 or so, i was just trying to get to sleep, and i hear a loud noise, and then what sounds like breaking glass. i decide i just want to sleep so i ignored it, but then my mom came in and made me get up to take a look at what had happened.

some fool had missed the entrance to the apartment's driveway and plowed through the brick sign out front. the bricks were all in the parking spot just behind the sign, which happens to be our spare parking spot, where we sometimes park because we dont feel like putting the car away. didnt manage to get any pics last night, was way too tired and didnt think of it, but this morning i went out and got some pictures of the wreckage.

notice how the bushes infront of the sign are almost completely untouched, which suggests that the car was airborn until it hit the sign. all the debris you see was in our spot, the groundskeeper moved it all back into one pile.

Agreed. That thing will be all fixed up with just some paint work. Thats one damn tough car for smashing through a brick wall with just some scratches on the paint. :eyebrow:

    :hehe: That's the spirit!

TBH i was expecting the car to be totally mashed - though the chunk it took out of the kerb as you say is probably why the car doesnt want to move. I've seen cars get totalled by the same damage to a wall!

xen0, that's a Ford Mustang, although my guess is that it's the cheap version instead of something cooler like the SVT.

think the car was saved by who eva built the wall... seams like who eva did it didnt get the cement mixture right and also didnt use butterflys :( which meant the wall was very weak...

but am guessin that curb killed the underneath pretty nicely lol....

Yeah, I bet you'll find a lot of damage under the car. Kinda surprised it's not dumping antifreeze and/or oil all over. I bet the transmission shift linkage is fubar.

My dad bumped into a curb at work a little too hard with his E320 and it bent the lower core support and damaged the radiator. We were pretty surprised. He's driven it for 8 years and parked there every day. *shrugs*

I'd say that the kerb probably fooked the driveshaft, seeing as the car won't move at all.

If the engine revs in gear but the wheels don't move, that's probably what's happened.
