So the other day I had a few minutes with my camera at a glass installation at the botanical gardens nearby. I wish I had more time there, but I got some fun stuff. There were two that I was thinking I might submit as POTM entries. I could not decide which DOF I liked for some. I hope the color is as nice on most other monitors as it is here!

That's Chihuly, isn't it? Some absolutely amazing work. He had an exhibition (possibly the same one) at Kew Gardens in London a couple of years ago. I've got loads of pics of that somewhere. I love his work, it's got such an alien feel to it.

    I love #3 & #8, nice shots.

Yes it was Chihuly at Phipps conservatory in Pittsburgh. I wish I had more time there was so much beauty there, but I had to leave and it was the last day. Glass work amazes me, and I wish I had the time to learn myself.

Last two blew my mind. I wish I had that kind of subject matter to photograph.

I really like 4. How did you get the glass to appear to float on the water?
