I was sitting watching the telly and then my vision suddenly went blurry in one eye. Thinking wtf, I took my glasses off and the frame had sheared, meaning the right-hand lens had dropped out onto the floor. It was really wierd as I kind of didn't notice it at first. Luckily, I had bought two pairs of glasses about six years ago (obviously, I'm wearing the second pair now), which seems fair enough.. nothing lasts forever. Just a bit, well.. weird. That it should happen just like that. Thank god it didn't happen at work otherwise I'd be stuck as I'm stuck in front of a computer for the most part and I would've had a hard job seeing what was on the screen. Anyone else had any weirdness happen to them recently?
DId your glass have a plastic frame? My glasses retailer told me these things aren't good for much more than 2 years because the plastic tends to dry up and have odd behavior...
Woah, have your had you eyes tested in the last six years since you bought your last pair of glasses? It is a good idea to get it checked every 2 years as a lot peoples eyes change.
My glasses have plastic lenses. The first glasses I broke by trying to bend them Second pair I scratched one of the lenses installing a computer case.
I've had my eyes tested since then, aye The lens is plastic, the frame is metal. The frame is designer, 'Gant'. In a bout of haste and stupidity, I tried superglueing the frame back together, only for the tube of superglue to spray absolutely bloody everywhere, including a few drops on the lens that popped out . Any idea on what could get it off? I think the only coating on the lens is a scratch-resistant one, they're not tinted.
I think superglue is water soluable, at least ive heard it is, most likely im talking crap, worth a shot though imo.
ice cold water works great for removing superglue from fingers... not quite sure if it works on glass though...
mine are breaking to they are really fine and one of the nose bars have broken so only 1 holding together have to get em fixed lol
