If you've got the ultimate glowing computer one of these is a must! cheap enough too, so you wont have to buy a normal one and some EL wire. Click MEH!
Why buy one when you can make one? That's basically an additionally lighted mouse mod and Japala's fire wheel mouse mod with a blue LED.
yeah but by the time you buy a cheap optical mouse with a clear bit, maybe some EL string a few bl00 Led's etc... is it really worth it?
YES!!! DIY! DIY! DIY! Ok, enough ranting (gotta lay off the crack, I know). Now, if the colors swirled around on that mouse... *Idea* If you had, say, 3 sets of 3 or 4 different coloured LEDs, and you had them go on and off (within the group). Voila! swirling lights! Ok, putting down the crack now. If someone was completely against diy, that would be the way to go.
I'm all for DIY! This just seems as a nice easy solution, play with it for a few months then MOD! Maybe swirling lights.... A strobe.... a laser.... smoke machine.... foam machine.... popcorn cannon.... Ok Ok Ok!! Take your crack back! How's about a watercooled mouse to keep your hand chilled?
Even better! Liquid nitrogen-cooled!! What if you did have a little fogger? Nevermind, crack is put away.
Hmmmm liquid nitrogen... Go to doctor with mouse stuck to tongue. Doc - "So what happened here sir?" - "Wehhul I dwopped thome dwink on mayh moousthe and twied tho lich it thup" You could always throw it at burglars and do the whole TII thing.... "Asta La Vista...... bebeh!"
I've seen an article on mounting a small fan in a mouse to prevent sweaty palms. Looks like quite a nice idea. As for doing it yourself - how do you get the led to make the wheel glow? It looks a bit too opaque to glow...
That's the only difference between this and other mice. This one has a translucent wheel. I'm thinking about how that would be possible to do yourself...
Stinky is the one who sang the Happy happy joy joy song that Stimpy loves so much. (check the link for the lyrics and some audio). Nice to see people who knew Ren & Stimpy.
Take the knight rider LED setup and make that so it speeds up/slows down depending on how close the mouse is to it! Then instal a flux capacitor and throw the mouse across the room at another computer and watch it dissapear, leaving nothing but a line of flames.
How to switch your Red LEDs in a Logitech Optical mouse to 8100 Metku Mods how to cool your mouse with a fan. (and thusly your hand) Same thing as above, but the TechTV way
That's how I destroyed my logitech Was a bit rough w/ the led. I ripped the trace on the board. Live and learn.
