Today I was at college, and this happened

    Oops! :hehe:

So I want to make some sort of new cover for it. My initial thought was a lego brick or backspace key, and I will do one of those if the glue thing doesn't work.

Basically I want to make some sort of mould so I can cover the usb stick in glue. I have a hot glue gun to do it in but I just don't know what I can cover the mould in to stop the glue sticking.

Any ideas, or any better ideas for what I put it in...

Will hot glue work well? Not sure if you can squeeze enough glue out before it starts to set elsewhere.

Anyway, to the original question, vaseline?

    edit:Beaten!

It'll melt from the heat of the glue and go runny and come off.
Clingfilm works well with most glues, but I don't know about the hot glue.

Otherwise use basic PVA glue (may take a while to set though).

Some sort of plastic you really need, or cold metal / glass.

Tinfoil. Sand it off afterwards. Nice frosted look.

Get a sandwich bag, put it in that, then dip it into a vat of something like PVA. Hot glue might damage it.

    Tinfoil on an electrical circuit?

I'd strongly suggest disregarding this advice.

Any sort of semi-solid should work well enough if you're going to try making the mold from hot glue. Vaseline, butter, Crisco (vegetable shortening)... anything of that consistency should work well enough, especially if you have a low-temp hot glue gun.
