I'm wondering what would be the best to put together aluminium and acrylic?
Imagine aluminium case panel and some acrylic pieces that I want to glue to that panel, permanently. Then some smaller aluminium pieces to glue to that acrylic ones:)
aluminium will be powdercoated.. dont know if that makes any difference...

To make it easier to understand - I want to make a sandwich - alu|acryl|alu :)
I dont want to use screws and drill all pieces. I want to make all nice and flat..
Besides those pieces are pretty small so head cap screw wuld look bad in the middle of it, if you know what I mean...
    what would you guys suggest?

Epoxy resin (Araldite is a popular brand).

Yeah, it's sometimes known as a two part epoxy or five minute epoxy.

I used 2 part epoxy for gluing the alu. angles to the carbon fibre inside H2O-C7. I used the 30 minute curing kind and lots of clamps to hold it.
My brand comes from a local hobby shop that does a lot of RC and big scale aircraft.

One hint I might toss out is that epoxy likes to cure above 70F. Too cool and it won't set right.

    +1 on epoxy

If your in the UK, head down to the DIY chain know as wickes, and pick up there Rapid epoxy, its dirt cheap, sets nice and quick.

But the best bit is the price, its basically a big name brand but OEM packaged so top quality stuff for a decent amount for sub £3

possibly some strong double-sided tape if it doesnt need to hold much weight? (although i dont know any i would recommend that are flat, only those gel-like ones)
might be easier than epoxy if its a small area.

Thanks guys for help, I got Araldite - will glue it in nice warm place as John highlighted:)

Just to let you know, I will use it to glue small hex shapes made of alu and acrylic on my front panel of NanoTower.

    Cheers!!!

it cures best in higher temps because epoxy absorbs a lot of water, which means it isn't too good at marine applications.

Be careful with higher temperatures than STP as it will become less viscous and things may shift/drip.
