How anyone could think they'd get 1Tb of storage for free... This from Wired:

Rumors that Google is offering users of its Gmail service an unprecedented 1 terabyte of storage space are untrue, the company said Wednesday, blaming a bug in the system for the confusion.

The rumors spread rapidly across the Internet Wednesday morning after testers of the free e-mail service logged in and noticed that their accounts claimed to have 1 million megabytes of storage space. Many observers took this to be a sign that Google was upping the ante against rivals Yahoo and Lycos Europe, which both recently announced that they would offer their e-mail customers 100 megabytes and 1 gigabyte of storage, respectively. Lycos Europe is a sister company to Lycos, which owns Wired News.
