I had that EXACT same hs/fan setup, why are you not deaf??? I had my pc under a desk w/ sound damping foam in the antex 1080amg case. And I couldnt hear myself think!

I had to getmyself a nice quiet YS-Tec 22db 92mm fan, those tornadoes are evil unless the machine is in another room.

deaf? what are you talking about?
my stereo is always on and its much louder than the fan and i am getting used to the noise
i plan on putting it on a fan controller of some sort
would i just need a potentiometer(sp?) to make it adjustable?

I'm not the best electronic guru, buts heres my 2c:

what's best to do, is to use the output of a mosfet(with a heatsink on it) to drive the fan, and have a Potentiometer to vary the input on the mosfet. That should put the load on the mosfet instead of the Pot, thus being able to use a much lower (and cheaper) wattage pot.

Nice big case. Nice bondo work so far.

How much clearance is there behind the tinted plexi and the drives? Looks like it might be a tight fit for a PSOne screen.

Given the length of time between Go4t's updates, would this be considered a thread revival?

Oh and nice job so far. How loud's the fan?

only way you can controll a tornado is thorugh a 5v 12v alternating switch. I have a cooldrive 4 and a noise isolator and niether of them do anything for noise or speed reduction.
