What a game! I picked up a copy yesterday and I have to say it's just what i have been waiting for since I finished Ninja Gaiden.

The story, art, voice acting, everything about it is quality. It's so easy to start playing it and I get the feeling that it will be tricky to master, but extremely satisfying when you get it right. The combat is built up around stringing together combos which can, if you get it right, keep going on for ages :) VERY satisfying.

The bosses (so far) are amazing and there is a novel way of dealing with them. Basically you can trigger an opportunity to get near them and press O which launches you into a button pressing sequence which deals out some serious damage. This sounded a bit lame to me before I played the game but actually works really well.

The loading times are amazing! It actually feels like there isn't any loading at all, it's like playing a cartridge game. This is particularly impressive when you see the amount of detail in the graphics.

I played it as much as I could last night, I couldn't put the controller down. I seriously recommend this game to anyone! Especially those who liked Ninja Gaiden, Devil May Cry, hack+slash games, anyone who likes seeing monsters literally getting ripped in half, blades down the throat etc etc (not for the feint hearted). Oh, and there's boobies! Check it out.

It looks like Sands of Time on steroids. Needless to say, I wouldn't mind picking it up. It has universally decent reviews. Looks great fun!

Got this last night. Fab so far. Felt a bit of an idiot with the first boss though - I hadn't twigged the 'pin the head to the deak with the anchor' trick, so I was fighting the two smaller Hydra heads for about half an hour... :duh: :D
