Mine has already told me she's doing it for financial gain, because in her own words she "doesn't feel she should have to work". What are you into? Urgh. Sorry you have to deal with that. My ex did it because she’s a controlling abusive piece of **** and I dared to say no. So she made an attempt to get me locked up for being a danger to the kid, and while that was all pending she on a completely unrelated matter rinsed me through the bloody divorce of course. Completely unrelated /s. And then when she failed to get legal control she set on a slow campaign of parental alienation and manipulated my kid into making repeated false accusations to various mandatory reports of neglect / abuse none of which happened. When I had to step back from shared custody because the lies were getting serious she said that I was the one lying and wouldn’t work to stop the accusations (obviously). Then, as I was still on her mortgage but not paying for it, she tried to force me to fix the rate and stay on it. Despite the fact the bank had me down as earning £70k a year and were using my income and credit to give her the mortgage deal… which was also a lie as that was after I’d had a breakdown and was living on benefits. She cut off any responses to any attempt to speak to my kid when I refused to commit fraud for her mortgage and boo hoo she had to get a solo one.
