Skooldaze! ...you can actually play it online, wow! :: http://www.interactivecardiff.com/arcade/game.php?game=skooldaze

I have fonder memories of it on my C64 though ;)

I liked the Dizzy series a lot, they were great games. I wish I was at home, I could pull out all my old tapes and remember all those classics a whole lot easier. Hmmm Operation Wolf springs to mind, that was cool. Hmmmm Tetris too, which I still play almost religiously to help me sleep.

My girlfriend is a serious old skool SEGA gamer, she only really plays on her Master System or Mega Drive (with a MegaCD I might add!). Very cool stuff, all in mint condition. Alex Kidd is cool :D

ERM WTF? when did Red-Alert become a Golden Oldie?
Diablo 2 needs a graphics accelerator to run...surely that's automatic disqualification?

    Privateer = :rock:

Original Wing Commander games - before all of the interactive movie crap. Privateer used the same engine, which used scaling and rotating bitmaps for the ships - not a polygon in sight!:D

Mechwarrior - the original (EGA graphics - yum!)

All the monkey island games. (well apart from the last one, 'cause I haven't played it)

Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis. Another fab adventure game from Lucas arts

    The X-Wing series

    [EDIT]

    /ME slaps forehead

How could I forget DOOM! Wolfenstien and Spear of destiny where good, but at the time DOOM was mind blowing....:hip:

Reading your responses has reminded me of a few which I missed (and how could I?!)

A-Train was SUPERB, but my disks corrupted. :waah: I could 0wn that game though.

Monkey Island 1 and 2 were SUPERB. I have versions from the monkey Island collectors pack that run under windows!

Diablo. SOOOOO atmospheric. Also one of the few games that we both played that I completed before my brother did (Using the Rogue with the bow it was quite easy).

Sam and Max Hit the Road. WHAT a game!!!!! Mad humour, infuriating gameplay and inscrutable puzzles. What more do you need! The talky CD version was WAY cool.

Probably my all-time favorite was X-Com UFO defense, great game play concept I thought.

Another Transport Tycoon fan here :D
That was pretty much the only game I played back on my 486.

Other than that, diablo is the only old game I can think of, unless FFVII counts ;)

    Both much better than sequel(s)...

KNA, the old tandy one? That was my favorite back in the days of the Tandy, they still haven't made another game like it (many similar, but none that you had so many options just to set up a battle race).

    Elf needs food, badly.

    Yay.

Possibly the same game, although mine was on the C64.
